Day 1 in-store res - maybe #75 in Cincinnati line
Invited to config 3/23
Deferred for AWD about a week later
Ordered 5/21, Non-P AWD, Red, Autopilot, 18"
Del scheduled for 8/4 AM

Delivered as scheduled yesterday. A few paint fixes need to be scheduled, otherwise pleased with quality.
Cincinnati delivery spec was great - no time pressures on our careful inspection.
He had also installed out center caps pkg already - the 18' wheels look great with red.

I called in a couple days ago just being nice to the guy (I know they're super stressed on the phones) and asked to make sure all my info was in order as I hadn't seen any updates yet on my 3/31 reservation - 6/26 Order - 7/23 reconfig to white interior and I still have the old confirmation page. He looked over my account and double checked everything said I was all good (which I kind of already new but just wanted to confirm).

I followed up asking if he had any kind of feeling of when orders like mine were being delivered and he said that generally with an early reservation like mine (3/31 online prior to announcement) that cars were generally being delivered 6-8 weeks from confirmation. My reconfig to white might have cost me a week or 2 he said but not to be too worried. With me at about 5 weeks at the moment, he said probably another 2-4 best guess. His words, not mine.

Super friendly guy once he realized I wasn't another dbag on the phone complaining. So take that information for what it's worth if you've got similar dates to me.
Timing will be driven primarily by external color batching and delivery advisor activities. We are supposed to have advisors within 6 weeks of ordering. I’m waiting for my AWD blue/white/aero in the Bay Area. 4/1/16 reservationist. Hopefully our cars is in the latest big batch!

I think a big batch of reds went out. My buddy that reserved in July 2016 is taking delivery in Boston next week.

Im at 5 weeks wait and not heard a word. I was hoping to get mine in time for a car show on the 18th but that is looking less and less likely.Guess Ill show off my i3 at the show instead.

In college I worked call center jobs where we had no accountability to the customer, similar to Tesla. I can tell you categorically that, for the rep, it is far easier to make up a story than to say "I don't know". When you say "I don't know", the customer typically wants you to "go find out" and then gets upset when you explain that you're "too lazy to do that".

You can choose to believe whatever you want, but based on the couple of calls I've made and everything I've read here, these guys are just making it up as they go.
Per
I must have talked with the same rep, because she told me the exact same analogy about sitting at the table but not ordering any food. Quite rudely. I'm staying positive and polite and will hope she was just trying to get to the next call
I actually (selfishly) hope your person is right. Anecdotally, I know someone who lives close by who’s parents ordered the same color, awd nonP a few days after me; but was a line stander. They’ve been contacted and at working with a rep now... nothing on my end. So, reservation seemed to matter in that case.

Pre-reveal line waiter in Portland, OR. Ordered non-P AWD (MSM, EAP) on 6/26. Contacted by Delivery Specialist on August 1st. Loan approved by Tesla Finance same day. At home delivery scheduled for this Thursday afternoon (August 9). Seems like the cars are really rolling off the line! However….still waiting for contract paperwork to show up on my account so that I have a confirmed total due at signing, and can pay via bank transfer ahead of delivery. Anyone with a recent AWD delivery know about how long it takes Tesla to process and post the contract paperwork?

Thanks to the forum for helping me make it through the wait these past two years…. can't wait to actually see it show up in the driveway!

-Nate.

Line-stander in Northern CA.
Placed order on 06.26.18, less than five minutes after ordering was made available to me (which happened to be at 1:30am while I was in Lima, Peru)

AWD, Blue paint, black interior, 18" Aero, EAP. Cash. Fremont delivery requested.

Not a hint of anything happening since the money went down 5+ weeks ago.

6/30 Config
MSM, AWD, black int, 18s
Milwaukee, Wi - highland park, I’m pick up

Have not had any activity on the pacing since config. Wonder if a trade in is impacting? With the drive to pick up, need to schedule as far out as possible... this is becoming a logistics patience game...

I’m running out

Finally, some progress!

*** 11 weeks of crickets; stuck on the "delivery checklist" page with no movement ***
8/5/2018 - Edit Design link disappeared sometime between 9am and 12pm EDT. Prompted to enter loan details, did so immediately. Advanced to new "confirmation" page, confirmed all delivery details.

Now waiting for ISA contact. No VIN visible anywhere yet.

Yeah if someone could confirm that you can add EAP and/or FSD at delivery, for $5k or $3k respectively, that would be great to know.

And I wonder, if you do that, is it part of the price of the car? or something you pay for separately so is not listed on the MVPA?

Also, if you do make that last minute change at the time of delivery, are they going to update the rest of your pricing to reflect the higher prices for AWD, paint, and delivery?

I need your guys opinion, reserved April 2017 (yes 2017 and not 2016). Ordered Dual motor on 7/9/18. lets just say I might have alot more money coming my way but wont know for sure until end of August. I'd like to use some of that extra cash to get the performance model. I suspect I'll know either way by end of August if I got the extra cash or not. do you guys think I won't be assigned a VIN by then for the dual motor? my estimated date is between September and November
