Tesla has managed to butcher my 9/28 delivery. I called today to confirm that everything was in order, and the rep gave me an odd address as the delivery center - then corrected it to the one that WAS SHOWING on my profile. Then he later contacts me to tell me that somehow, I've been scheduled for home delivery. I did receive an email last Friday offering home delivery, but NEVER accepted, since I want to ensure that I'm afforded the opportunity to inspect the car thoroughly before taking delivery (I don't think that's possible with Tesla Direct). Now they're trying to sort it out, but I'm skeptical that they're going to be able to return me to my original delivery appointment. I mean, WTF - why would they change to delivery without my consent? (I live about 15min from the nearest delivery center).

I think I'm getting my acronyms mixed up. What is the difference between a DSA, ISA and a DA? I have seen on three referenced here.
Technically, I don’t know since I can’t really say what titles do what for Tesla.
DSA=Delivery Scheduling Advisor
ISA=Inside Sales Advisor
DA=Delivery Advisor???

I received an email from an ISA back when I first configured to fix an error on my delivery profile. Last week I got my first email from a DSA asking me to pick a time and date for delivery within a 2 day window. I have never had contact with a DA. I have also communicated with a very nice CES (Customer Experience Specialist) from my delivery location.

Curious. Delivery date Friday, Utah SC told me to expect my VIN to be assigned 48 hours before delivery. No VIN number anywhere in My Account page, No VIN in the MVPA document, but the overview screen now shows a check mark by the "VIN get your vehicle identification Number" step. Getting a bit anxious. I have been reading too many forum horror stories about delivery fiascos.

Taking me too literally! Yes, I have gotten thru to deliver but when I can't I go through sales and they check. Sometimes one needs to think outside the box, charming or not.
I don't don't mean to miss the joke... but hear's the thing. I can't get through to delivery. I can't get through to sales. I can't get through to service. I can't get through to parts. I can't get anybody on the phone. Being able to get somebody on the phone at all is still charming to me.

So happy your car and paperwork were there and you got to drive away with your Model 3. I had my fingers crossed for you. Did notice a group of 5-6 people to the right of my passenger side talking in the parking lot roadway. They were taking pictures of their car and then before they left took pictures in front of the Tesla building address.
Yeah, every step of the way I worried that there would be a stumbling block. My "group" was my wife, my dog and me. And we DID take a picture under the building address. The family next to us taking delivery of an X was at least six people though!

Trying to think of all the things to check out before our 3 days are up for the due bill.
Yeah I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row as well. And then trying to figure out who and how to tell tell my issues to!

So you got hit by the left turn signal blinker issue. Was that on all the way back to Davis??
And every moment since. It is a real hassle. I have to fuss with the turn signal stalk after every left signal. Usually I have something better to be paying attention to. And I guess it must be quite amusing for the drivers around me to see the blinking lights randomly on all corners of the car! I still haven't figured out what the solution will be. Need to track down some threads on it!

Did your VIN fall into the group listed in the thread?
NO idea. I haven't yet found the thread. Been busy with all kinds of other life to thoroughly check.

I'm so glad to hear that your delivery went so well! Cheers to you.

Right, I think. And the titles seem to change daily.

I actually had short discussions with my DSA... but she could tell me NOTHING beyond my scheduled delivery.

I've never had an ISA

I heard two broadcasts from the DA, but he never answered a single question, even though his two messages asked me to reply with "any questions I might have."

Then at my delivery, I was served by a "host." I've never met my Delivery Advisor, nor have I had a single question answered by anybody but the host at the actual delivery.

Does anyone know what to do if you find something wrong with the car within 3 days? Do you just show up to the service center?
Excellent question. On day one after delivery (and just when do the three days start?) I'm still not sure of the answer either. I've tried calling service. Nobody answered. I left two messages. Nobody replied. I guess I'll try online next?

I would send a detailed email. You want to make sure your car's issues are all spelled out and create a "paper trail". Make it as clear as possible what you're expecting Tesla to do.

From our Model S page on tesla.com, there's a Support form where you can type a message requesting support, though I don't know if this is available to you yet for your Model 3. You could try emailing [email protected], an address that I recently corresponded with. There's also a support form at Contact | Tesla. Another option might be to hunt down the email address for your local service center; for example, ours is [email protected].

Super information, thanks!

That's interesting. My ISA has been the one to do everything so far from updating my account info to delivery scheduling. I am supposed to pick up on Saturday but have not heard anything more. VIN, MPVA, etc all set so I'm not really expecting to hear from anyone else.

My Scheduling Advisor was the only responsive person. But once scheduled, she could answer nothing more, and she was basically the last person I ever spoke to until I picked up my car from the "host" at the delivery center. I have the names of all the folks who were supposed to assist me. They just forgot to assist me, I guess. Or did it totally behind the scenes.

I've never been able to make contact with my delivery center. And now I can't make contact with my local service center.... to buy an HPWC... and to get a few things straightened out with the car.

And now my account on the Tesla website says please pay off remaining balance prior to balance but the only option given is from my checking account. The ISA I spoke with confirmed that I could pay (he said up to $5000) on a credit card and could use a personal check up to $10,000. I am financing with Tesla and would rather put as much as possible on a credit card for points. I may swing by and see if I can go ahead and pay with a credit card. I am only 15 minutes away from the Costa Mesa Delivery center. Not sure if that is possible. Anyone tried to stop by one of the Tesla Centers prior to pickup to pay with a credit card?
Payment on CC is not allowed. I know you want points, but Tesla has to pay around 3% to card vendor for CC purchases. It's on their website in black and white. I know, I tried too.

The VIN step has disappeared from my Tesla account page when I click on “Overview”. Did this happen to anyone else?
