Black Wheels?

Wonder if the "flat" grey part of the Aero's come off separately to get a different look? The valve stem is going through one of the "shiny " grey arms of the wheel.

Since paint is almost the same cost as the plus size wheels I've decided to do black + upgraded wheels, and buy the areos off someone for snow tires. I image there will be a lot of 3 owners selling the base wheels...

All I see in the pix are Continental & Michelin tires. It was mentioned that Hankook was the OEM for tires, yet they're not seen anywhere. Does anyone know for sure what the standard 18" tires are?

I look forward to the confirmation and video proof that the wheels under the aeros do indeed look this way.

That will seal it for me to opt for aeros - I see Aero covers on for winter and Aero covers off for summer ...
gotta keep looking away from the premium wheels.

I'm with you, but primarily for the better ride quality. I'd still like to know which tires these are. Hankook was mentioned, but every picture I've seen has been Michelin for the 18s and Continental for the 19s.

the red/orange Model 3 clay model I believe had the same 20s that were on the silver prototype Michelin 235/35ZR20 except with different rims.

I have a hard time believing Tesla would put Hankooks on their cars. They're not a Korean company and they're in the premium market. Not exactly Hankook's target market. I can totally see Michelin and Conti's.

Are you sure these are 20's? Not 21's? I wonder how 21's would look on there. I suppose 21's would change the stance.

Not sure at all, can't find a high enough resolution pic of those, just on the silver.
