When I use the button to put water on my windshields there is a light blue color to the water that just started coming out. It’s so light I can’t see it all the time until it gets on my white car where it shows more. Anyone know what this is and should I be worried? Thanks!
Oh! Ok thanks! That would be washer fluid and not water. (Most washer fluid is colored, some blue, others orange or green.)
So you guys in Hawaii only put water in your windshield washer fluid compartment? Well as long as the temperature never comes close to freezing I guess that could work, but don't you get corrosion in the system (rust)?
Hahaha! Ok thanks!*checks OP's location*
Yeah, that's washer fluid, fam. Once it runs out you can refill iit with water instead since you live in paradise.
Oh interesting!? Thanks! If you use plain water add a little liquid dish washing soap. It cleans bugs off the glass more easily.
Hahaha!! Got it thanks! And yes! Very lucky to have been raised in paradise! Wouldn’t live anywhere else!*checks OP's location*

Wow! Omg! That’s really sad! I guess were even more lucky here in Hawaii, I didn’t even know such things exists! Our water is naturally filtered through Lava Rocks and is very clean. Our environmental laws are pretty strict to preserve our island although it’s not perfect. Thanks for sharing!
Oh wow! We don’t have very harsh weather here in Hawaii, lucky we don’t have to put anything specific in our washer fluid. Thanks for sharing!Funny. I've been driving for 35 years and I have never once put water in the washer fluid reservoir. (Of course, I grew up in Montreal and now live in Toronto and you would never think of putting water in there.) Anti-freeze only - at least here in Canada, by law, it must be colored, (blue / orange / green etc) anything other than clear to differentiate it from water).
I don't know, but I doubt it's anything special.Anyone know what the local SC uses for washer fluid?

Hahaha!! YES! we go to Colorado/KeyStone once a year, gone to Washington.. Etc.. Mever realized I should have specifically stated that I live in Hawaii! LoLOP, this is hilarious, have you ever seen real snow?
