Looks like the Oakville Town Hall and a church...I presume they'll build new in the lot next to there that appears vacant on Google Maps.

I hope they add a SC there as well...that would be handy for us west GTAs'ers.

I would tend to agree as that location doesn't make a ton of sense. I would expect to see them on one of the service roads farther west by the dozens of other car dealerships.

The location would be good for service...hidden a little for new sales exposure...problem is though, that area is directly behind Oakville townhall...it is basically all residential...I'll keep looking...

Before Calgary got their store, the placeholder was right where the "Calgary" logo is on Google Maps. I see the same for Oakville.

Interesting.... I was at Tranmere on Friday having a broken drivers side window regulator seen to and there was no mention of this other than the same old "maybe... someday" talk. Perhaps they were just being coy...

This is Tesla, the staff usually don't know anything unless a customer tells them.

I just checked my page. Mine is showing me Montreal-Ferrier (!)

EDIT: Clicked the link again, and now it is showing Boston-Watertown.

It must be trying to geo-locate from my web browser, and my company must be doing something to obfuscate our coordinates.

Me too. It's very close to where I live :smile:

I don't think they've decided the fate of Tranmere yet. I was told by someone there that the fate of Tranmere and the new center in Oakville were not linked, but have also heard it described as a "move" from Tranmere to Oakville. Personally, I think they've got way more than enough to keep them busy, and Oakville should be in addition to Tranmere, relieving some of it's load rather than a replacement for it.

I think they have outgrown Tranmere given how busy they are. They need economies of scale going forward and Tranmere will not help in that regard. They will need a new Oakville location and a new Mississauga location for Model 3.

That may be why I'm hearing Tranmere's fate is not necessarily linked to Oakville. Perhaps there is another play in the works to simply upgrade Tranmere somewhere still in the west GTA.

Have they even confirmed a location? Even once they have a location it will likely take months to get it built and finished.

Just a wild guess here but Audi is building a new facility in Oakville and I wonder whether Tesla could take over their old building? Anybody know whats happening with Audi's Oakville dealership?

I haven't heard of a location although someone on the forum mentioned that it would be visible from the QEW. Not sure where that information came from.
