The kit includes glue. The clips are glued on?
There's a video on the site. The metal clips are glued to the actual rubber thing, and at the end, the rubber is glued together.

This picture is the best I could come up with. It is hard to show since it is really not very noticeable, which is good. At the same time, it does stick out a little, which (of course) is necessary for it work at protecting the wheel rims. They won't be on the car until spring when I swap out the winter set. I will post another picture of a view that shows what you are looking for when I get a chance.
I like that it is not very noticeable. I guess you had to deflate the tires in order to put them on? (just like the instruction video shows) Asking because I do not have one of those air-compressors. Maybe I have to get one? I see that the Model S tire repair kit comes with one: http://shop.teslamotors.comThis picture is the best I could come up with. (...)

Can they be removed and reattached? I'm not to keen on spending an extra $120 each time I get new tires (which will already be more frequent with the 21").
they need to put out "dark carbon grey" touch-up paint for these things.
i have the exact same car as you, and i am dreading the day when i do exactly what you describe.
i've read in the curb-rash thread that getting it fixed at a detail shop is like $100 a pop... fwiw..

I'm glad you were able to get this taken care of while your car was in. Some 14 pages of posts since you started this thread. :smile:The service center fixed mine for me. $124 per wheel all-in (Chicago).
Will any local tire shop be able to install these? I know it's possible to do yourself but tougher if you don't take the wheels off or have the rubber mallet.
