Here is the video that was put together (by Nelson Aerial Productions) of the Blue Ridge Parkway drive this past Saturday. Zeb Hallock did a fantastic job putting the drive together and managing the logistics.

Did anyone else from this thread attend?

Looks like a cool event! I'll be looking forward to future events when I'm officially an owner :)
Are there any Charlotte/NC related groups such as Facebook groups or whatever to keep tabs on stuff like this?

Yes, there is a Charlotte Tesla Owners facebook page. For the Blue Ridge Parkway drive for 2019, you can get updates by going to this link: Tesla Owners - NC Triangle - BRPTeslaDrive

I put money down via ACH, after logging into my account on tesla.com. It came up in the area where you have to put in your drivers license info, insurance info, etc.

Good luck and continue to keep us posted.
Thank you. Yes , the final balance showed up today and I sent it in. Wishfully, today, I’ll receive the docs to overnight to Raleigh so they have for Thursday.

Down to the wire:eek:

I saw Autowerkes in Canada do a prism purple wrap .... so I will look into who can do that similar here. Will keep you posted?
Thanks. I am thinking of doing a matte blue wrap as well. Found a guy in Orlando who does an Avery product at a reasonable cost. It is much more aesthetic than paint protection (PP is more expensive), but he also does a layer of ceramic pro. Haven't really found anyone locally though, but haven't been looking.

Nice:cool: I have had ceramic pro done by Tim’s detailing in Matthews. The guy does impeccable work !! He gave me a referral for a wrap and I’ll have had to look into it.

Zeb here. Just wanted to note it was a three club event, initiated by the Western NC Tesla Club and included the Charlotte Tesla Owners Club as well as ours. No way it would have been the success it was without all three clubs collaborating.

The facebook group is a great place for discussion and when details are available for the 2019 event they will be posted to the info page here:

~Starlog Awesome Update: FYI for ALL-
After contacting Raleigh and no one knew what the heck to do “Stephen Delallo” once again pulled it out of the hat :)and finally just got ‘er done. He got another IDA assigned because mine and her Supervisor have been MIA for a week after talking to me about everything else but not the closing docs of late to finish up.

I finally received them thru email at 2:30 pm, printed them , confirmed thru email that the
Signatures are correct with photos of all
Docs , and FEDEXed them back!

Charlotte delivery did call , as they found A chip in my chrome trim over the windshield that they wanted to know if I wanted to push delivery.
To my answer: HELL NO!:D

Do It some other time !

I'm scheduled for delivery in Charlotte next Wednesday but I haven't heard anything from the IDA (in Vegas) since Oct 11th despite sending a few emails to him. I happened to be passing through Charlotte last weekend so I stopped by the SC and asked for an update. The dude there said basically the same as above. There will be some paperwork that has to be sent to Raleigh before closing the sale but didn't have any other insight into how or when that would happen other than to say "a couple of days before". He WAS able to give me my VIN was was cool. So at least there's that. I'll call the Raleigh folks by the end of the week if I haven't heard back from the IDA.

Absolutely ...STAY ON THEM them proactively !!

I was like: do I have anything to sign cos it’s 48 hours and NO one seems to care, and they were like YES: MCO, retail contract, and credit app! Well, where are they?! (to about every Tesla number I have lol ) - Raleigh , and Charlotte delivery helped the most!

I called the Raleigh office today and very nice woman (don't remember her name) was able to move up my "signing date" so that my documents would go ahead and generate and then, lo and behold, she tracked my VIN and noted the vehicle was already in Charlotte! So she rescheduled my delivery for Sunday when I was going to be passing through Charlotte anyway!

Thanks for the tip on calling Raleigh directly, made a huge difference!

Originally, assigned VIN 67xxx back during the end of quarter rush. Was originally told home delivery. Car was declared "undeliverable" so I was assigned a new VIN 117xxx that was being shipped from fremont at beginning of month. Car was to arrive in CLT on 23rd and pickup on 27th. Called service center on Saturday and they ask me if I'm picking car in Raleigh or CLT (appointment clearly states CLT). Apparently car is in Raleigh and they tell me that they don't know when it will arrive in CLT bc logistics handles that.

I call main Tesla delivery number today and they ping car and see that it is still in Raleigh. He says nothing setup logistically to deliver to CLT. So now he is going to contact my IDA to call me and figure out what is going on. I have the check from credit union that i was going to overnight once I knew the car was there and "deliverable" but now I'm wondering what the heck is going on....again.

Is there a reason why the car would have been delivered to Raleigh instead of CLT?

How awesome:D ....and I picked up my car a day early ....just two hours ago. Insane!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!

Awesome! Tell us about your delivery experience. Did you finance and/or trade and have any hiccups with either process?

Yes, financing was thru Tesla , and that went well .....
As others have mentioned and experienced , my IDA was MIA for the last 7 days before my delivery and I couldn’t get my retail contracts, MCO, and DMV info because she wasn’t responding to anyone in Tesla or outside nor was her supervisor, which is odd in itself.

I actually wired my final deposit thru Plastiq as I had a 0% promotion , and discounted Plastiq promo fee. That was a lil scary because I wasn’t sure it was going thru in time a)because Plastiq’s customer service is non existent and b) I never used them before and c) I couldn’t get anyone at Tesla (outside of Raleigh) to get my documents to me in a timely manner. Raleigh helped get a new IDA to send documents, and they were ready to go for 5 days prior but never forwarded to me. 2 Days before my delivery I received everything thru email at 2:30 pm to overnight back to to Raleigh - Charlotte Delivery team contacted me to Check on documents and tell me chrome trim piece was dented & if I wanted to push delivery. I asked if everything else mechanically passed , and he said other than that , car was ready to go, and said I could pick up the Space car a day earlier if I wanted?! He Rescheduled my appointment for next day .

Next morning : called Raleigh to confirm docs but the new IDA I worked with ...was off. :)They reviewed everything , and said my wire was received that morning ... took 48 hours. Whew!

Delivery : Delivery specialist was ok but they didn’t have car ready nor docs and we had to wait 15 more minutes. I connected car thru Tesla app, she went thru the basics and had me sign pick up. Didn’t ask for insurance or anything , and we were OFF!
Thankfully Hahaaa!

~The END~
