Chill vs Standard?

Assuming you drive exactly the same and keep your foot out of it, is Standard less energy efficient?

We had that thread already and it's well tested on youtube - they will be exactly the same. It's just power limiter and acceleration pedal curve change.

Wouldnt know, we tried it once (well, wife did) and it was too slow to care to test further

Seems it would be more useful if still like a 6sec 0-60 pace.

Disagree - even in chill it's faster than a 4-cyl. Camry. (at least my previous 2016 Camry)

2016 4 cylinder ICE camry is 8 seconds.... the V6 though was "only" 5.8

Chill on a Model 3, AFAIK, is 7.6

Seems like it just makes the throttle less sensitive and doesnt give you more than 50% acceleration. I like it, I drive my M3P in chill mode most of the time especially in city driving.

AFAIK yes.... at least I vaguely recall someone testing a P and a non-P LR car, I suppose it's possible the SR is different but don't see why it would be given normal mode is way quicker than 7.x even on the SR.

Yeah, SR+ is around 5.3 secs 0-60, so I can see that, I just never tried it.

After living through battery degradation in a Ford Focus Electric I am perfectly happy with chill mode. Plan on keeping my M3 a long time.
