I got a call from my local Tesla location (Boston area) that they were expecting some MYs with my specs (LR, MSM, black interior, 5 seat, no hitch) within the next 1-2 weeks, asking if I'd be interested in taking delivery, and they took my current insurance info.

Ordered on 4/2 and the original estimate was 5-9 weeks. My account's estimate shows 6/2 - 6/22. My lease is up on 6/1 so I'm hopeful I can trust the call. No vin yet.
Oh wow.. I ordered the same spec but I’m in Seattle lol. Tell them to send some over here too!

Bottom line.
The SAs don't know anything more than you do regarding delivery date. (so nothing).
I know you may think that is impossible but it is true. Those changing date ranges are meaningless.
Calling them multiple times will only piss you off because they seem to be very nice people so they try to tell you something to make you feel better each time, but it won't.
Just sit back and try to enjoy the crazy and funny posts of people losing their patience/minds with me...
I'm 53 and haven't felt like this since I was ~8 and December 25th seemed like it would NEVER happen.
Oh, and also buy lots of Model Y accessories so you can pretend like me that you own one.

Most of us in the Mid Atlantic have to receive cars via 2 rail carriers (UP and CSX) via Chicago or St. Louis - not sure how rail shipping delays (they are notorious) play into to moving order timeframes. UP is *supposed* to build trains with the interchange in mind to speed freight on its way... I know that when I ordered a Jeep a few years ago, it was loaded onto a railcar on Friday afternoon in Toledo and was delivered to my dealer on Monday morning. No interchange as it stayed with CSX the whole trip.

Received the new email on Virtual Workshop also... it is a step ahead and I feel better already. Might be our new MY will arrive soon!

Reading within the lines of the email it seems like they are going to try more touch-less deliveries, and this online session with Q&A is the orientation perhaps. That could mean a speed up in deliveries soon, hopefully.
This lines up with what one of the local delivery specialists in my area was saying. He said they had a regional call today about touchless home deliveries within 10 miles of service centers, hopefully rolling out over the next few weeks (probably an overoptimistic timeline haha).

I just got the email for the virtual workshop this afternoon too!

"Hello from Tesla!

You are receiving this message because you are soon picking up your Tesla. As exciting as delivery day is, we understand that you may have some questions, and since we are conducting contactless deliveries at our delivery centers, we are not able to provide an orientation on delivery day.

In lieu of this, we invite you to attend a virtual orientation! Virtual orientations will occur Mondays at 7pm EST.
For those of you unable to attend the last orientation, please feel free to join us for this coming Monday.

The Virtual Orientations will consist of a 20-minute presentation to cover everything you need to know about your new Tesla, followed by Q & A. During the Q & A, you can use the chat feature to ask any questions that you have about your new car. Orientations are held in an online group setting. You can enter the meeting by clicking on the Microsoft Teams link, which I will provide in a follow-up email this coming Monday. This orientation is optional, so you are not required to join to pick up your car."

Might well be a large set of MY's getting ready to launch. The paste from our email opening text FYI:

BTW, our orientation actually was on test drive day. Best thing the SC said was take the test drive car out back first and test it around the parking lot, away from traffic. Intend to do this on pick up day in our MY also.

Scanning through this thread, its interesting that the vast majority of us have a mid-May to mid-June delivery window. Does anyone here have a stated delivery window that goes into July?
I ordered my Kisco delivery of MYLR5BlueNoTow on 4/6 with original eta of 5/26-6/16 (6-10 weeks). Delivery date window has varied over the past weeks.

Today, delivery delayed 1 week! New eta is 6/8-6/28. (9-12 weeks from 4/6). Bummer (heavy sigh). And NY tax rebate reduces by $1,500 on 6/30. 😤

Ok, so, I too fell victim of the Friday afternoon (east coast) date adjustment. Kind of happy but know that these projected dates are only made for us OCD'ers!:

Ordered White Plains NY April 16, Red, LR, 5 seat, black interior, 20" wheels, no hitch

April 21 - May 19 to June 4
April 29 - June 4 to 28
May 1 - June 5 to 25
May 1 afternoon - June 10 to June 30
May 2 - June 2 to 22
May 3 - June 3 to 23
May 4 - June 4 to 24
May 5 - June 16 to 30
May 6 - June 15 to 30
May 11 - June 9 to 29
May 12 - June 4 to 24
May 14 - 5 to 9 weeks from ordering date

which actually, according to my Gregorian calendar, makes the "projected date" a little closer: May 21 to June 18. Should I be happy?
And now for the not so good news (maybe), Above May 14 guestimate was posted May 14 at right around the time many here were posting generic changes (2 pm ish). Later, after coming home from errands, my compulsivness to have the latest news, I'm finding at 5 pm, the timeframe has shifted back to: May 14 (5pm) - June 4 to 24. Oh, well.

Second quarter orders (production) must be delivered in second quarter. July is different story (quarter).
This not totally accurate. If Tesla wants to recognize the revenue from a sale then they have to deliver in the quarter. They could easily (and will probably have to) shift orders made in Q2 to delivery in Q3. They just won’t be able to recognize revenue from those orders in Q2. There are plenty of people who ordered in Q1 that are still waiting for their cars.

Greetings!
Curious about the EV Tax credits that are already in place. I know many of us are wishing for the $7,500+ option to get approved but definitely not one holding my breath. Ordered MY LR MSM 19", Black interior, No tow hitch or FSD on 4/27. Like many others, been given tons of varying dates.. (latest is 6/11 - 6/30)

Got financing approved from Tesla (US Bank - Expires 6/26) and wondered about the specifics of the statement below, specifically "...allowing the purchaser to realize the value of the tax credit at the time of purchase".

A purchaser may assign the tax credit generated through the purchase, lease, or conversion to any of the above categories of vehicle to the financing entity, allowing the purchaser to realize the value of the tax credit at the time of purchase, lease, or conversion. The financing entity may collect an administrative fee of no more than $150.

Link for all states -

Appreciate this thread for its co-misery, distracting, informative, and giving hope all at once, essence. impatiently waiting in CO...

Cheers!
