Probably because is needed for a new/different component.anyone knows what is the software update they are talking about? Looks like all the cars held are because of that. I don't understand why a software update would hold a delivery while there are plenty MYs out there already.
My EDD is now June 1 to June 21. I was wondering if any of the cars are the lot could be mine, but I do not think so. Three weeks ago they had zero MYs on the lot. I will say the fitment on the cars looked very good. Only issue I spotted was with white bumpers not completely matching.I went by on Sunday and saw the same thing. A lot of speculation here about firmware changes. I ordered 19 April and was told mid to end of June by SA at SC on Broad Street. Looks like he may have been correct. My dates are now showing 15-30 June. Guess we will see.
I would call your SC and choose option #4 to talk to a delivery specialist. The SAs have less visibility and knowledge about delivery logistics.Reached out to my SA at the Dublin, CA SC. He is super responsive but was not aware of any software update holding back deliveries. He just mentioned it takes time between truck shipments, inspections, and vehicle prep before delivery. He said end of June delivery seems “feasible” for my 5/9 order. No mention of Q2 production being sold out.
That’s where I’m scheduled to pick up mine (ordered in Walnut Creek). I guess they didn’t say if they were stockpiling or not? Considering they’re a stone’s throw away from Fremont, there’s probably no reason to, issue or not.Reached out to my SA at the Dublin, CA SC. Well, in an effort to save my sanity, I cut myself off from this forum and checking my dates for some time. However, just checked and noticed a few things so thought I'd share...
- Estimated Delivery is missing. Don't just mean the dates; all of it, "Estimated Delivery" text included.
- Change Configuration (or whatever it said) link is gone. There used to be a link above the Cancel Order section to update order/change config. It's no longer there.
- Add Full Self-Driving button added. Maybe I just didn't notice this before, but there's now a section that says: "Your Model Y comes with Autopilot. Upgrade to Full Self-Driving before delivery"

I could be wrong but I think the Dublin sales and SC share the same space. So you’d think they’d be talking to each other. But maybe not.I ordered ours on 5/9. Currently states delivery 6/15-6/30. Occasionally it changes to “5-12 weeks” and then back. Taking “by the end of June” with a grain of salt.
That'll change. Several timesOrdered a Blue MYP on 5/13. Estimated Delivery: June 01 - June 30.
Hmmm 10 days from manufacture to a SC 2/3 of the way across country - that's fairly impressive. The interchange from Union Pacific to CSX at Chicago for points further east usually takes several days.Howdy all. Drove past the Chicago SC on Grand earlier today and saw a lot full of Y’s and several more being unloaded. Everything in the lot had a manuf. date of 5/7ish. Anybody have the rosetta stone on what the colored dot stickers mean? They were different on every vehicle.
I’m picking up in Costa Mesa too. Hope to see you there someday soon!Ordered in Newport, picking up in costa mesa
I ordered 5/12 in Orlando. I spoke to a SA today (different matter) and he informed me to expect a late June to early July delivery. I started with a date range last week when I ordered, then changed to 5 to 11 weeks over the weekend. I got the bright idea of changing to blue from the grey so now I have no “estimated delivery” at all. I’m barely a week in and I can barely wait, so I can only imagine what the rest of you are going through. Stay strong! But in my defense, my car was totaled 2 weeks ago so I’m car-less lol. Happy waiting to all!!!I ordered ours on 5/9. Currently states delivery 6/15-6/30. Occasionally it changes to “5-12 weeks” and then back. Taking “by the end of June” with a grain of salt.
I'm also picking up from Costa Mesa ...hopefully soon . Got my model 3 from there in 2019. Nice place!I’m picking up in Costa Mesa too. Hope to see you there someday soon!
