Got a VIN 6/22. Scheduled delivery for Friday, 6/25. SC called and said they wouldn’t get the transport delivery until Saturday. So rescheduled for Saturday afternoon. SC called again and asked to change to Tuesday 6/29. Then called again and said they were sending a special auto hauler to WY to pick some cars up, so for sure I can pick up today. I sent my deposit, signed all my paperwork last night, and now they just text saying the special auto hauler isn’t going to make it to Denver in time. It makes zero sense, it’s 2 hours from Denver. Not sure what they’re up to…

7 seater white on black. Order date 05/04. EDD last night 06/29-06/30. Turned to September this morning, but I checked just now and got the blue button. VIN assigned immediately after (214XXX).

Congrats!! This gives me slight hope, my EDD is showing for September and has been for a couple of days now. Tomorrow marks 6 weeks, hopefully I'll be seeing the blue button soon.

MYLR; Black, Black, 20", 7 seat, no FSD: Ordered May 9th, Delivered June 25th. EDD a week prior to delivery was July 8-28, VIN 216XXX. Non-projector headlights, front mud flaps and rear PPF installed. Wasn't totally happy with the delivery. The Portland, OR service/delivery center is in a horrible location. Parking for the center is a dirt/gravel lot on a steep incline and since it's been hot and dry here for a few weeks, the constant traffic and peel-outs to get up the hill kick up a ton of dust making all the new Teslas a dusty mess. Have never taken delivery of such a filthy car. The driver floorboard and mat were filthy since there was no protective plastic. I'm grateful the SA took it to the back for a quick vac job and they provided plastic so my dusty footprints wouldn't make another mess. Overall fit/finish of the MY was really good. Panel gaps were acceptable. The bad: an instantly noticeable scratch on the front driver quarter and the back passenger PPF was done pretty poorly with a lot of bubbles. The PPF was redone on the spot. I immediately made a service appt. to have the scratch taken care of.

Every mile counts! Plus, if it’s a 5% gain, then I net out if I remove my Gemini caps which, when removed, reduce range by 4-5%!

What’s weird is the new S supposedly has a 100kw in it based on reports and has a 405 mile range and is a lot heavier. Hard to correlate due to increased weight in S.

I think Tesla wants the S and X to always have more range than their “inferior” siblings. My point is I think Tesla artificially limits range on the 3 and Y. Not just for charging reasons.
I've always speculated the same...

That's so crazy because it is the complete opposite for me...Vroom is lowest, then Carvana, and Tesla was the highest by a lot for our 2011 Toyota Sequoia.
Funny for my Model 3 trade, Tesla was pathetically low, then Carvana, then Vroom. Submitted stuff to Carmax based on customer service fears on Vroom. Waited 3 days and Carvana hadn’t scheduled pick up yet, so drove to Carmax. They offered me 10% more than Carvana, so I took the check!

I was able to get it off last night using a plastic automotive pry tool kit I had ordered on Amazon. I was worried that using my small metal screwdrivers would damage the plastics. While I was able to get the tow hitch cover off, it did slightly scuff the bottom plastic bumper 'shelf' thats below the hitch cover. If I care enough I can probably polish the marks out of the plastic but what a pain to remove this thing! I'll likely leave it off for the Summer when my hitch is in use and put it back on for the Winter, however I might cut off a bunch of the tabs like the guy in the YouTube video shows, to make future removals easier.
There are some aftermarket options for tow hitch covers as well, ones that are very easy to remove without having to snap off clips, or risk damaging bumper plastic piece. Apparently the current tow hitch cover is already a Gen2, which is easier to remove than the first iteration. But I think they’ll likely revise it again in the future to make it even easier.

Motor Trend estimates the Model S Plaid has a 97 kWh net, 100 kWh gross capacity. According to Bjørn Nyland (aka TeslaBjørn) his guess is somewhere around 90 kWh net capacity but also says do not rely on the estimates, wait for a real world deep cycle discharge test to determine actual net capacity. He also says this is a smaller pack than the Model S LR Raven, which had a 105 kWh gross capacity. Either way, the Model S could potentially reclaim the throne from Taycan as the best/fastest overall road trip car. But we’ll have to see the tests!

Sorry for everyone waiting, I will say I cant wait for the Tucson location to start doing delivery's.

Got to Raintree 5 minutes before my scheduled time. walk in and they have a QR code you scan and enter you reason for being there. about 10 minutes later I get a call and it tells me what stall the care is in. Go to the car. See a scratch near the wheel, down low. I call the number they say to call if there are issues. no one answers. I walk into the service shop and ask one of the guys to find me a delivery specialist. about 10 minutes later he comes over and says we can reject the car based off the scratch or accept it. We havent see the inside yet as you have to accept delivery before they give you App access to get into the car. I said I dont want to accept delivery until we see the inside. The DS said this is the only way to get inside now. Its completely hands off and he "isnt supposed to spend time with us". We accept delivery. The inside had some stitching that was misaligned and we found another scratch on the rear quarter panel. Some guy was taking delivery of his MS Plaid, awesome car, and his DS came to us to see how it was going. We spoke about the scratches and the stitching. We took pictures and set a service appointment. The DS who spoke to us said they are delivering about 200 cars a day. We were there at 3PM and only saw 3 others taking delivery. This we wont speak to you onsite is just terrible. the car minus the scratch's and stitching is in great shape. Including the laundry hooks that work.

Same for me - Tesla was the highest. Late model F-150, but with significant mileage. With the tax savings of trading vs. selling, the net effect was very similar to the value of a third party sale.

It’s Saturday morning in CA, they are all prolly toasted by now more than usual 🤣

Update to anyone in Southern Cal (Orange county area) Beuana Park SC just told me they are no longer doing in person pick ups because they no longer have room on their lots or rented lots, because it is entirely full of Model Y’s. So only doing home deliveries now. They give you 24hrs to reject or accept after they drop off and after you accept you can log any service appointments with in 100 miles after drop off. (Excluding miles they put on your car while driving and at factory. So if the car arrives with 50 miles on it you have until 150 miles to log any service requests).
