Order date buddies. Up until a VIN was assigned unexpectedly, my EDD was showing 12/27 - 2/7.
Maybe not. OD 10/23 MXP black on black. New EDD today 12/3 - 12/23
Hold that statement until Wednesday when I can inspect the vehicle.
I too agree with you, but seeing that I was assigned a PF422 VIN (when we’re on 426/7) and the vehicle was already on a transport in Charlotte, NC… I’m reserving my happiness until I see and inspect the X first.

Surprised they are making any plaid at this point instead of just focusing on US LR models. But I'll be very happy to get mine ASAP

Why? The profit margin on the Plaid is substantially higher along with the gross revenue. All numbers Tesla cares about.
I think people have incorrectly assumed that because of the federal tax credit and possibility of changes beyond 12/31, that Tesla is going to prioritize LR units. This does not appear to be the case.

Contact your sales rep if you ordered through a person. If not, then contact Tesla support.

SoCal here. Just took delivery of my MXP at Upland on Tuesday with a 9/11 order. My EDD got pushed back 8 times before I was assigned a VIN.
So I just stopped by the service center. My vehicle was onsite, just not detailed yet. Should these be concerning:
1. There is a sheet that says kickback in the window from 11-08 marked for paint.
2. The rubber lip near the passenger door window is not flush. It doesn’t impact the window functionality, just appears to an imperfection in how the rubber was made for this particular piece.
3. On the passenger FWD, there is a small gap in the rubber seal of the ceiling glass. I saw the same on another X right next to it and wondering if this is normal.

Hmmm if I click on manage order on the Tesla website but it no longer takes me to the edit order page, does that mean I'm getting a VIN soon (doubtful due to my late date of order) or did Tesla lock me out due to my changing colors too many times?
