The J1772 adapter is Level 1 and charges about 3 - 5 miles per hour.
The remote charger I believe can charge up to Level 2 depending upon the adapter. It's a more flexible solution I think but expensive.

Note: I just bought a bunch of 14-50 adapters to those types (using the included 14-50P adapter with the mobile connector kit) - was cheaper.
