Sorry to hear that! The Nick I spoke on Fri around 8:30am (I was surprised when he answered my call, as I thought no one would be in the office then) also initially told me that I would have to pay the difference. But I remember having a conversation on Thu with someone who told me that my base price is locked in, unless I change the model - for example, from long rage to performance, or from 5 seater to 7 seater, etc. So, I pushed back to Nick who told me that he would check and call me back around 10ish as he can talk to others when the office opens. I was literally scratching my head and bitting my nails as I saw on Thu that cars were showing up on the Cleveland search and they were gone (would not show up anymore) within minutes. Finally, I heard back from the Nick I spoke one and half hour before and confirmed that I do not have to pay the extra base price adjustment and the car was still available if I am still interested. It is true - I probably would have passed and wait if I had to pay the base price adjustment. The rest, you know.Thank yougreenearth2129 again for the info, I did exactly what you did on Friday, found matching vehicle in Cleveland OH, and spoke to Nick (not sure which Nick), and I was told they can't change and I have to pay price difference since my booking was for $52,990, it looks either he doesn't know or pushed me away.
I did keep checking the Cleveland site (just out of curiosity) and mostly what I see now are the all wheel drive (not long range/dual motor most likely standard ones with 269 miles) are showing up. But I would still continue to check as I did see one or two dual motors popped up and gone by the end of the day. Best to you!
