Just wait until he breaks his word on a $35K base model. Stay tuned...it’s coming....5k for AWD? Not a good day unfortunately - Elon broke his word on that one. 29k extra for performance? Just silly

Hmmm still no configuration website.
I wonder what's going on.
Maybe Elon fell asleep on his new couch with a do-not-disturb sign on the door. lol
The cheapest BMW 3 starts at 34900.- and that one is barebone as ****. A comparable M3 is 74800.-- without EAP and the like. So this is perfectly normal and if you have thought it would be cheaper then maybe its just your mistake. The Model 3 is meant to be the car everyone can afford. He's got half a million pre orders even with a 2 year wait - he has all volume he needs to keep prices down. Elon himself said the options would be cheaper - they aren't. This is a bait and switch plain and simple

Dunno, they look real to me.I suppose the Perf 20" wheels are forged..
Real world results will vary. They just aren't marketing a change, but there very well could be. Don't forget their advertised M3 0-60 times have been slower than real world (5.1 vs 4.6 for RWD M3).Can someone explain why they have more power but no extra range?
Good catch and agreed...odd especially given in that pic it looks like Alcantara to boot (so why not go black Alcantara?).Very disappointing that they did not change to black headliner on white interior. Loses a lot of the aesthetic appeal without it.
I assume that is one solid piece of aluminum along the dash belt line? Or is it a strip of the white material? Hard to tell from the photo.
Could have to do with the front induction motor which is less efficient than the rear switched reluctance motor. Can someone explain why they have more power but no extra range?
Sure. With the LR Tesla asked the feds to state 310 rather than teh actual 334 (IIRC). It is not unreasonable to expect they might now be doing he same thing with AWD, although maybe not so much with the P.Can someone explain why they have more power but no extra range?
Any thoughts on the price on white interior once it is decoupled from the performance version and available on other trims? Any guess on whether it will be an upcharge or not? My guess is that it will be extra, just don't know by how much.View attachment 302437 Booo... now I’m sad. I just wanted LR RWD with white interior.
Why can't Tesla just have a regular configurator page for the 3 like what the S and X have had for YEARS? Why does everything about the 3 always have to be such a damn mystery?
At this point options seem to be about the same between Model S and Model 3 so I would expect it to be in the $2000 - $2500 range but I think it will be a long ways down the road. Sometime next year would be my bet.Any thoughts on the price on white interior once it is decoupled from the performance version and available on other trims? Do you have a screenshot of the new 20 inch wheels that are standard for Performance? Are they still silver, or sonic carbon?View attachment 302437 Booo... now I’m sad. I just wanted LR RWD with white interior.
