If you want economical, charge at home.
If you want plentiful, available and reliable fast chargers, then 60c/kWh is what you should expect.
The Evie Charging Station that I am talking about where I charged is at Ampol Woolworths Metro Seven Hills 38 Abbott Rd, Seven Hills NSW 2147

It would have been one of the sites which made Ampol sit up and take notice, and consider starting their own network!

Given the recent Shell Sutton Forest and Shelll Jamisontown I can only think this might be a 350kW site (it's not near any of the Arena Metro dots)
It's very well positioned just off the Pacific Motorway, West of Newcastle with a Subway and Domino's.

There is a "Newcastle" site on Evie's 350 kW map, but they're not exact locations - Evie staff would refer to them as "zones" or "catchments" more than locations. Other Evie sites have been 20-25 km away so this is certainly close enough to be their 350 kW.
Only curious thing is that it's at an Ampol - while some Evie sites were installed at Ampol stations, not so much recently, since Ampol have decided to go their own way, but this could be an exception.
The Plugshare entry has "Evie" in the description but "AmpCharge" in the plug details. It appears you can't manually select "Chargefox" or "Evie" as network name anymore. Erroneous data entry I would assume, pretty standard for Plugshare these days.

It's also got good access to/from the Hunter Expressway. Evie really do have a knack for finding good locations.

Does anyone have an updated commissioning date for Sutton Forest? I messaged Evie last week to ask, but with no response.
Evie continuing the Arena funded shopping centre rollout with Dapto (SW of Wollongong)
I drive past there for plenty of post-midnight Uber pickups at Dapto Maccas. I’m pretty sure that car park is locked up tight outside trading hours. Kinda disappointing. Hopefully other nearby sites won’t have that issue.
The marketing manager told me they’re open 5:50am to 10pm. It gets complicated on public holidays but basically just refer to Colesworths’ trading hours.
It isn’t so bad if you know to head directly to Shell Cove at night - provided you also know to ignore every reference to the after hours access code in their app and on PlugShare, and instead unhook the ocky strap on the entry gate and shove it open as hard as you can. The gate motor there has been broken for what feels like a year now. It swings open freely, except for that last bit near the wall.
Graveyard driving is fun

Yeah, thats a good location, its a 24/7 truck stop site with a truckers cafe and Subway. Toilet facilities 24/7. Great for those times when you need to travel out of hours.This appearing on Plugshare yesterday. Mentioned as 2x 350 kW in the description.
