Evie EV charging networks

Yep - my "southernmost 350 kW" charger is based on knowing that NZ's only one near that speed (300 kW, but close enough) is near Auckland, and from watching Long Way Up and seeing them struggle to even get a steady AC charge in the far southern parts of South America!

Looks like Evie Mulgrave Vic (Dandenong North) went live today, And Evie Macksville NSW opens shortly.

Both at Caltex/Ampol petrol stations and seemingly both 2x350kW (though no photos of Macksville yet to confirm)
Evie app reports both new sites will be half price (so 30c/kWh) until 13 April.

Brighton Tas which opened under a week ago seems to be already at full price.

This is a bit odd, because Macksville has been moved on their ultrafast rollout map to Nambucca Heads at some point recently.

Maybe the Macksville site will still be there, but 50kW only, with an ultrafast site at NH? That's quite nearby though.

Possibly a new EVIE location in Bacchus Marsh Vic,

Great location right next to the Freeway on and off ramps in both directions..

That's interesting - what about it makes you think it's an Evie location though? I note that it's not even the current plan, it's a vague rectangle marked in the "future expansion" section, so it might be nothing more than a brain fart by the architect - "hey, how about we write 'electric vehicle charger here', that will tick the green cred!"

They are planning locations in a loop around Melbourne but Bacchus Marsh is significant further out that those. Their next planned site is listed as Ballarat.

Having said that, replacing their sole Ballarat location with Bacchus Marsh+Beaufort or Bacchus Marsh+Ararat would be a great idea, especially considering Tesla ( 6 stalls) and Chargefox (4 stalls) are in Ballarat already, and chargers in more towns is better than multiple in one town.

Evie seem a bit weird with site naming on the map.
Bella Vista is Seven Hills, Mulgrave is Dandenong Nth..

Anyhow, seemingly confirmed by an Evie employee posting on the TM3 FB group looking for volunteers to test the Macksville site on 16 Mar.

On Linkedin, Evie has made a post about their recent Caltex partnership, mentions a few we already know about but also surprised us with the comment ... "with Cockburn (WA) to come"

It's not really close to any marker on their website map but it could be the new location of the Rockingham one.

Managed to use an EVIE station on the weekend. Only took 15 minutes of plug/ unplug/ check app/log in yet again/ plug /unplug/ S..t its actually working, what did I do, dont touch it.
EV neighbour, plug/unplug/check app/try other plug/ unplug again/check app again/check any car information. change to first plug....... Give up and get some cigarettes to calm down.

What is it with this horrible Tritium chargers. Why cant we just plug in and charge. its b....y ridiculous. Even a 1990's VHS recorder made more sense.
