And (unless I just haven't found it yet), auto open and close of windows from the app. I hate walking out in the rain to close windows, which in Florida seems daily from June through October.

Update on my phone when I woke up this morning, and installing now. Appears to be taking the full suggested time over WiFi.

Majerus--

Just watched your videos. Like the other video posted, which was not attributed to an owner here, so I couldn't ask, I noticed the mirrors remained folded. So what I'd like to ask you is if you have auto-fold mirrors enabled or not. If you have them disabled, and your mirrors were just folded when you shot the video, then there is no change in behavior in this version of the firmware. However, if you have auto-fold mirrors enabled, then the Tesla programmers went the extra step, and got the auto-park feature right, because the car starts up, but the mirrors remain folded. This makes sense, since the car wouldn't be using them, and the extra space would just make maneuvering more difficult.

As an aside, now that Tesla has provided the option of an "auto open" and "auto close" feature for the Homelink buttons, I'm planning on writing to them again, and suggesting an additional option of connecting a mirror-fold and mirror-unfold to the same homelink button.

Okay I went ahead and tried it with my fairly sloped driveway. Backing out was fine. When trying to bring it back inside, as soon as it released the brake it detected it was on a slope and then just didn't move and shut itself off. Bummer.

FYI, when the car tells you there is an update available it has already finished downloading. The time to install should be the same for wifi vs cellular.

Autopilot is doing a much better job of following the lane in the presence of exit-lanes or wyes in the painted lines. The right-hand lane marker in the IC was more consistently showing blue than in the previous firmware. Also, the barrier-versus-other-car lateral spacing felt more comfortable than previous versions.

I really do like the automatic priming of the cruise-control speed when you merge onto the highway. It was always a bit fiddly to turn TACC on, then long-pull to set +5 MPH, then double-pull to turn on AP. Now it's just a double-pull since your preferred speed is already set.

I went to see if install was complete and the car is completely powered down, the first time I've seen it like that. The update says the car won't be able to drive during the update, posting for any other new owners experiencing their first update.
Towards the end of the update process the car reboots (sometimes more than once) and I had it look completely powered off for several minutes. Just like with Viagra, if it lasts for several hours, contact your health care provider (or Tesla in this case)...

For those who've already installed, how long did it take? The dialog box says one hour 40 minutes, but as far as I can tell that's just standard boilerplate.

Mine took about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Unfortunately it completed with the "Driver Assistance Unavailable" error message on the instrument cluster. I know that may clear on its own, given some time, but resetting the IC and the 17" display did not clear it.

I fear I may have caused this error myself, by breaking one of my rules about never checking on the car during an update. I had read here of people having issues related to problematic updates when they had somehow interrupted an update, so previously I've started updates, and then made sure not to come close to the car with the fob until well after it was expected to have completed. This time, as a result of the message above (no, I don't blame you, jgs--it was my fault) I decided to check on the car early, to see if it was finished. Since the doors were locked, I had to unlock them using the fob. I did that and opened the driver's door, saw the car was "dead", and closed the door. I didn't return until I received a VT email status message, which made me think the car must have completed its update, and it had.

I'm hoping my Driver's Assistance features do, in fact, return on their own.

See above. You may regret having checked. Please let me know if you wind up with the same error message I did.
