Out of curiosity from those who have done the upgrade, did Tesla contact you to upgrade the hardware? Just bought the software update today, but was curious how this process goes. I have a 2018 Model S, MCU1, but AP 2.5 HW. Thanks.

Yes, a software installation would fail. That's why people are seeing so many software installation attempts during the FSD computer retrofit - because these settings aren't being set correctly the first time

Thanks, I guess mine were set then because for me there was just one install/update and it was successful.
