Has anyone broken through the contracts/paperwork "freeze" yet?

Update from Houston. North Houston SC left a voicemail with me yesterday to say they have me on the books for the 22nd. The would call again to confirm once the car has arrived.

Told me to call back if I had any questions.

Maybe they are getting better (or more organized) at the communications around deliveries.

I am scheduled for the 22nd also. Originally my delivery was scheduled for today: My car arrived Houston last Friday, and apparently there was a problem discovered in the PDI that has delayed my delivery one week while they 'wait on parts'.

Maybe we will both be delivered on the 22nd? Good luck on having a flawless PDI once your car is off the transporter!

Ouch, I feel for you. I would be incredibly frustrated if I get moved, but at least they are trying to make sure cars are ready for delivery. How much notice did you get on the moved date?

Hope the parts arrive promptly. I’ll be on the lookout for you config next week.

I discovered the part issue / one week delay when I called yesterday, the day before my scheduled delivery!

I have Doris Day stuck in my head singing "Que Sara, Sara; what ever will be will be...' if you are too young to know Doris Day, look it up on YouTube!

I have just been waiting for the MVPA to show up so my bank can wire the funds. Car has been produced sitting in transport hub waiting for them to give the go ahead to ship.

This is a really long thread which I have tried to skim. Does anyone have any suggestions to make any progress?

Thanks.

I'm in about the same boat as you. The difference is I received my original MVPA right away but it had the incorrect loan amount, so now I am waiting for another. I'm fine being patient as I still have to try to sub-lease my other car but if I didn't still have my old car I would be pretty upset.

We probably have the same ISA and she is not much help....

Ok... so just received my updated MVPA (hooray!). Now the credit union needs it to be signed by myself and Tesla.

I’m worried that it’s going to take another couple of weeks to get them to sign it! Anyone in Texas have the same issue and how did they get a quick signature? Does the ISA sign or someone else?

I'm don't have answer for your question, just wondering what config your car is?

It's not the ISA who signs it. Mine was signed by Tesla 4 days after I signed it. But my credit union didn't need a signed MVPA, they funded as soon as I sent them the unsigned one, so I wasn't really pressing for them to get it signed. I think if you let your ISA know you need it to be signed by Tesla before the loan can be funded, he/she may be able to expedite that part, but I'm not sure.

You are real close. I just went through it a couple of days ago. That part (so far) went quickly.

- When I got my MVPA I signed it and sent it to both my bank and my advisor.
- Tesla got me a copy of the one they signed along with my signature back the same day.
- My bank has done multiple Tesla loans and asked my advisor to have the Tesla DMV Operations Specialist provide a "Letter of Guarantee". My advisor got that back within one day.
- As soon as I got the Letter of Guarantee from Tesla to my bank they sent me a link to docusign the loan documents
- Hours after signing the loan documents my bank wired the funds to Tesla and emailed a confirmation of it to my advisor.

Hope that helps

I'm not from Texas, but since my delivery was scheduled within 24-48 hours I was able to call my Delivery Center and they signed it right away. The ISA doesn't sign it.

Amazing in that it appears the car has been completed and just waiting at the transportation storage for at least a couple of weeks and now that it is 100% paid are saying that it could be up to mid September until it arrives.

I may actually have to make my first car payment on a car which has not arrived.

Update:

I picked mine up from the Dallas (cedar springs rd) SC this afternoon. I was there for a little over an hour, wasn't crowded, everyone was really nice. The service rep showed me how everything on the car worked and then let us hang out in the showroom Model 3 while we waiting for our new model 3 to be brought out. No issues with our car at all when using the checklist. Everything went 10/10.

I did accidentally discover and enable the Christmas Sleigh Easter egg thing in the showroom car and couldn't figure out how to shut it back off.

Update on my delivery...

I got a call today that my car is in, passed PDI “with flying colors”, just waiting on the temp tags to come back from DPS. Asked me to move my pickup to tommorow or Saturday.

I plan to get it tomorrow. I’ll follow up once it actually happens.

Good for you Kalikgod! I hope your delivery goes well! My M3 flunked the PDI and is 'waiting on parts' since last Saturday. I guess that is better than they people who drive a couple hours only to discover their car is not ready and they need to come back another day! Who did your delivery?

Thanks everyone - hopefully they sign it quickly so we can get the loan started and process started. At least it is out of my ISA’s hands for the most part because she has been really slow to respond (although maybe the contract freeze caused this and it wasn’t her fault).
