Have you reserved your Model S or do you plan on it?

I bought a used Roadster , #189,on eBay in December. After driving it around for a month or so, I decided to make a reservation for an S too.

I'm hoping Tesla will open a store here in the Atlanta Metro area sometime fairly soon.

Yes, it is a Sparrow I bought new almost 10 years ago. It was my first of many different EVs I have owned. I've also had a converted Ford Escort, Porsche 914, Bradley GTE and Toyota Yaris as well as several Solectria Forces, a Solectria Sunrise, Doran and a couple of RAV4 EVs. The Roadster by far provides the most exciting ride I have had in an EV, or any other car for that matter, while the Sparrow still garners way more attention while driving.

The Solectria Force was essentially a converted Geo Metro. They were pretty good conversions, but are really underpowered and of course when you start with a Metro there isn't alot of luxury to be had. Interestingly, unlike the RAV4 EV, the Solectrias controlled regen thru the accelerator pedal, just like the Roadster.

I'm assuming you were asking more about the Solectria Sunrise. The Sunrise was Solectria's attempt to mass produce EVs with a light weight 4 passenger vehicle. The project never really got off the ground and they only built a handful of the cars. The cars were really more proof of concept type vehicles and thus things like AC were not well implemented. As fun as the Roadster is I really can't wait to get a really refined luxury EV such as the S sedan.

I reserved my Model S from Sweden in the end of july last year. The deposit was EUR 4,000.
( My reservation number is P306)

I have done this myself (from Norway) and my reservation number is P412. I made the reservation late January this year.

Yes, that's the deposit for the Signature Version (the first 1000 cars). The normal reservation is 5'600 CHF (if I remeber correctly...).

No doubt about it. Tesla's Model S FAQ says 5-7k sold the first year. They're probably around 4,000 preordered all told. I've got #2840 I ordered at the beginning of January. 2 months later, nearly 400 more have been preordered. Even at that 200/month rate, they'll be sold out by the end of the year. And I'd expect the preorder rate to ramp up as marketing starts kicking in much later this year.
