For those who opted for the sunroof, how often do you use it?

I use it quite often as long as it is not raining.

I hear that using it frequently cause the mechanical problem. Should I restrain myself?

Why we're likely to go with a Solid Glass roof next time: less wind noise and it will, likely, never, ever leak a drop of water either:)

(Just wish they'd resolve the Countergate issue ASAP!)

I don't use mine enough but when I used it last, the roller for the roof started pinching/rolled onto the rubber seal when closing/closed. Now the seal is bent or sits under the roller when the roof is closed. I'm bringing my car in next week to have the SC replace the seal so there's no issue when it rains.

A lot more than I thought I would...daily, weather permitting.

choice 3.5 should be less than once a month and more than a few times a year.

I'm in FL. Whenever it drops below 80 dregrees or 120% humidity....

    Love the open pano!

I never open it but the car feels claustrophobic without one. That's why I got to.

    My 2013 S85, never---don't have/want one.
My wife's 2015 S70D--triple black (Obsidian exterior, black leather and black alcantara headliner), so we got the pano roof for 'airiness' (as noted by other above). Never opened in 1.5 years.

If I was ordering now, both cars would have the all glass roof.

I had a sunroof on my first S but about the only times I ever opened it was to show it to friends. So when I traded for a new S (to get the v2 hardware) I went with all glass.

I assume this does not include the times I open i accidentally because I turned the thumbwheel...

I only open it to let the heat out and close it when I get above 10 mph. Too noisy to drive with it open.

I would say all the time .. in good weather. A solid 3-4 months out of the year will not see much use. But the rest of the year will be awesome.

I went with the solid roof as I just never used any of the sun roofs in my old cars - and the all glass roof just isn't a good idea in the Phoenix area.

I have never really used the sunroof on my other cars but got it for the glass roof. But in the S the roof opens so wide it feels almost like a convertible. So I use it often. Having said that when my lease is done I may go with the all glass roof anyway

While we've mostly kept our sunroof closed, we love having it open while taking slow-moving roads through particularly scenic areas. Ascending the tight curves of the Zion - Mt. Carmel Highway in Zion National Park (Utah), for instance, an open sunroof revealed the majesty of the towering rocks and cliffs above us, a very memorable experience.

I said "All the time" but there is a caveat... I live in Canada so that really means all the time that weather permits!

Same. Next time I'd get the all-glass roof.

We love it and use it all the time except when it's cold, rainy, in smelly traffic, we're traveling over 60 mph, etc. All windows down, roof open on a nice evening is really wonderful. Sometimes we can hear the spring peepers even!
