If I plug in with a J-1772 adapter with 80 amps will the M3 ramp up to 80 amps?

And, the mobile unit isn't a charger. It's an EVSE and Tesla in particular calls it Mobile Connector.

For L1 and L2 AC charging, the external unit is an EVSE. The charger is on-board the car.

I think this isn't a distinction that needs to continuously be reiterated. While it's technically correct and I used to remind folks all the time, I can't help but feel like it's a bit pedantic to say. We still call the cord that is used to charge our cell phones "the phone charger" when the actual charging circuitry is internal to the phone.
