As i understand it the 255x5518 will fit without a lift
But one should get 255x60 18 with lift
Might have to do some adjustments on the inner fender, to avoid touch From the tires
At least this is What i am told in Iceland
I'm running 245/60 and to my understanding it's about as big as you can go without any modifications. If you want to start messing with the fender then of course the sky is the limit.

I bought a 2022 Model Y, scored gen2 18" aeros, and now I'm choosing tires. Looks like all-season 245/60/18 tires are all SL, would 235/60 be too skinny on 8.5" wide wheels? I'd like to reduce road noise over the OEM 20s, how much louder would 255/55 be over 235/60? I will also get the Eibach springs installed after Tesla service takes care of a few issues I found.

ive run 235/55/18 (same diameter as stock) and 235/60/18 ... the 235/60s seem squishier but its probably because those are blizzaks in my case vs. a more all season 235/55

i have 8" rims though.. im running these:

Not lifted (yet) but I’ve got my 18”s fitted in a good size.

Falken wildpeak at trail 235/60/18 - 29” diameter - 8.2in tread width - XL rated.
Konig freeform 18x8.5+43

A little taller than stock for more sidewall, no rubbing, decent grip in most conditions. Correct to-diameter sizing would be 235/55/18 with 8.7in tread width, but this setup is not XL rated. The sizing does make it out to sound rather narrow. However, if you compare it to other tesla sizes, it’s not far off.

For comparison:

OEM Gemini 19”

winter wheel and tire package:
Sottozero 255/45/19 8.2in tread width (same tread width 255 vs 235/60/18 Wildpeak)

Stock continental procontact 255/45/19 8.5in

OEM induction 20” winter:
Sottozero 255/40/20 7.9in
Goodyear F1 asymmetric 5 8.9 in
