Lucid Motors Air production car revealed - finally competition for Model S

Looks like the Lucid Air will have a much nicer interior and more luxury features than the Model S/X. Assuming this makes it to market, the biggest question I have is this: Will there be a long distance charging network?

It will provide superior comfort, a better user interface, and better performance than comparably priced BMWs and Mercedes-Benzes.

I think it's important to note that they mention BMW and Mercedes instead of Tesla. There is plenty of room in the future for many EV manufactures. ICE manufactures? Not so many.

I look forward to seeing what happens to the trunk space when we see a bench seat vesrion without the airline 1st class recline stealing so much of the trunk's space.

Most likely their QC will be the SAE CSS/Combo which some are showing up already at 350KW charge rate though no car now can handle that so it is really a wash. But if the lucid car build theirs with that charger in mind, and help with the QC expansion I can see where they can succeed.

Wow! The Chief Technology Officer is the former Tesla Model S engineer and their website is a total copy of Tesla. Even the fonts! Looks like a cool car though and I will definitely be interested if they go to production. The interior design is significantly more futuristic then Tesla.

I don't the see the similarities between the Lucid and Tesla website. Same goes with the font. It looks like every other "modern" website design. Tesla's website also draws inspiration from the Apple website. (Thats a good thing)

I don't see any EV will work unless they have superchargering stations like Tesla. I know there are public fast chargerimg stations out there, but they are very limited.
