That's weird. I would try to uninstall and then reinstall. I was able to access it the moment I placed my order. I don't think this has anything to do with the state of your order. I could be wrong though.
Even after ordering (10/18), I was just getting the message that I have no vehicle associated with my account. I did uninstall and reinstall the app as well, but it made no difference. This was still the case when I retried a few days ago. Last night (after getting the order "update" e-mail), I was finally able to log-in to app, albeit with only the videos and lootbox available (which is to be expected, since I don't have a car yet).

Can you explain further why it is not advised to take home delivery and instead only take delivery at the local delivery center? What disadvantages do you anticipate it will bring to potential owners?

You have to carefully inspect the car for defects before you sign for it. Many many Tesla come off the line with paint defects, misaligned panels, loose trim, damage from transport, etc. When you take home delivery you will have to pre-sign for the car sight unseen. Having purchased 2 Teslas in the past (both model X) I would never do that. But feel free to take your chances.

I’m getting a little frustrated. I didn’t have an edit button so I called Monday of last week to request changes to my configuration, they agreed and said it would update soon. Well a week later the configuration change still doesn’t show in my account and they are telling me it’s an “IT bug” and they have no ETA on a fix. I’m concerned that this is going to push me to the end of the line, they claim it won’t but I just don’t trust anything a Tesla rep says until it happens. It feels like they just punt issues around with no real resolution.

Just took delivery of my car. Things went smooth at SLC store, the car looks great (there was one small paint issue, probably because I looked much closer than I normally do when I buy a new car). Took less than an hour.

Communication was great, even though they passed me through what feels like 10 different people: HQ delivery specialist, local delivery specialist, another local delivery specialist, etc. But everyone was up on things with a minor issue being that they initially told me that the car was here, but when I tried to schedule delivery time they discovered that it was still on the trailer inbound. Not a major delay, just a few hours.

Power is noticeably lower than on LR model I dest drove few months ago.
