We need a little help with the spreadsheet.
I am in the process of converting part of the spreadsheet to a web page to reduce the load on the spreadsheet database. The filter and sort functions will continue as before on the original spreadsheets. All the other tabs with their tables, graphs, and charts will eventually migrate completely to the webpage. So for those who only want to view the data could just go to the webpage leaving room for others on the spreadsheets.
This is the mock up version:

Let me know what you think. Also, all the pictures I used now on the webpage are only place holder. They will need to be taken down once we go live. I am asking if anyone have any cool pictures of their model 3 they would like to share on the webpage. Email us at [email protected].

Looks good. I think thats a good idea. I think you should add a time stamp to each data page, just so people have reassurance they are looking at the most recent data. Something like “Last updated on April 26 at 7:10 am EDT”.
Looks good. Much easier for quick check on VIN assignment status. I really like the views of latest information.
I just noticed that there are 2 entries in the latest 50 VIN reported page that were assigned the same VIN - 8555.
I wonder how that will get resolved? (If not a typo by one of the users)

Vin 1736x popped up today. I'm trying to keep my progress toward pending delivery secret from family and friends. It's hard to keep my excitement tamped down, because people are always asking for an update. So far, i can honestly say i still don't know when i will get the car.
This little "game" may have been a mistake -- for me. Aaarrgggh.

@oldtrip, I’m doing something similar with a cousin. I found out a few years ago that he’s a huge Tesla fan. He knows I have a first day reservation and has asked about the progress and projected delivery window. As long as he doesn’t directly ask if I’ve ordered, I’m good with staying quiet. I hope to text him a picture of the Model 3 parked in his driveway in a few weeks to let him know that I received the car.

I like that idea. I would have a few stops to employ that strategy at, giving me a great "excuse" to drive the car a bunch.

Good Monday Morning everybody!
First thanks for all those who have allowed me to use their pictures on the new webpage. I now have a nice little collection of cool photos to shift through. Will add to the page when I get more time. The webpage project itself is almost complete. Check it out when you have a chance.
I've brought back some old features that we didn't have room for on the spreadsheet like the states tabs and the monthly trends.
Make sure you check out the subpage for larger states like California, Texas, and Washington.
I've also added some new features like 'Last Edits', 'Latest VIN', and 'Highest VIN' so it is easier for a quick check without having to sort the original database. As always, I am open to suggestions for improvements.
Last week, looks like Tesla went back to Canada for their post shutdown invites. As of today, all Canadian reservations prior to 2018 should have an invitation. Seems a little bit unfair as some US line waiters on 3/31/16 have yet to receive their invites. No matter, the next batch in the US should take care of all 3/31 reservations regardless of where you placed your order. All US owners reservations no matter when they were placed should all have invitations by now. This means that Tesla is roughly halfway through all US reservations.
Regarding production, from the VIN reports and the VIN chart, Tesla is picking back up well after the shut down. We are not quite at pre-shutdown level, but that should be reached in the matter of days assuming no other glitches.
Looks like Tesla is going back to the 18 inch aeros group next in all colors except silver.
Deliveries have not slowed despite the shutdown. We are on track to match March record numbers
Big day on Wednesday. Here is hoping for some good news on Tesla's future and a nice little short squeeze.

I assigned a VIN overnight and have already updated my data in the tracking spreadsheet. However, unless Tesla can deliver the car by Friday (joking), I will have to defer delivery due to a pending vacation. I am assuming I should update the data when I get my new VIN and then take delivery on that VIN. However, I just wanted to give the folks maintaining the data a heads-up. Presumably, my deferred delivery is going to throw off the averages for the configuration-to-VIN and configuration-to-delivery stats.
I already spoke with Tesla about this. I called them on 4/20 when it seemed likely they would not be hitting their initial 3-6 week delivery estimate. The delivery specialist indicated that they will assign this car to someone else and get me another car later, when I am able to take delivery. This works out better for everyone and I hope whoever gets "my" car enjoys it.
By the way, great job on the spreadsheet - and now the webpage. I hope the TMC community appreciates all of your hard work on this.

When I try the link to #4 spreadsheet (published web version - just the charts) today, I get a “file does not exist” error page. Did the simplified spreadsheet get moved and the top level link on the “Old Model 3 invites spreadsheet” not get updated properly?
