Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Does anyone else find themselves not only checking for EDD updates on their app, but also clicking the "earlier pickup available" inventory link HOPING to see a Performance pop up available??? Ahhhhhhhh this will all be worth it though!
lol, I know, right? It did help me feel even more confident in having placed the order; but the truth is, if I never saw one in person or even got to test drive one, I was going ahead with the order anyway.
Incredible contrast between the black exterior and predominantly white interior. I like all of the available colors, and there's nothing quite like clean black.
This car had not yet had the chance to look like clean black does; the store team had not yet had the chance to clean it up inside and out.

According to SA the hold would prevent vin from being assigned. Some hope timelines won’t change.
What would containment hold mean in this case? The EPA/NHTSA approval? Firmware update hold? The cars aren't coming off of a port...

This is good news. The first actual bit of evidence that alludes the EPA issue is now addressed if they are officially posting it on their website. I am hoping this means we will soon see an influx of deliveries/VINS. Not sure if now that it's approved though if a firmware update needs pushed through? It seems as though they were waiting for the EPA to finish testing to get an estimated range. That way they can then program the firmware update on the car to match whatever the test results was.
Also for my fellow people in Texas, got this message after asking when performance model 3s would arrive in Austin. It at least falls within my EDD of May 27 - June 3 and I did get a VIN on the 15th for white/white. Hoping we’ll be able to schedule something by early next week!

Yes it looks like they got their official EPA estimate rating approved, so the firmware updates should start rolling out to our cars, thus assigning VINs and opening the floodgates.
