On this topic, I was stuck in meetings yesterday and decided to use my time "productively" by running some analysis on the spreadsheet. I was most interested in the difference in order to vin time for orders that were placed in the same quarter and received vins in the same quarter versus those that didn't receive a vin in the quarter that the order was placed in. From 2018 to present, it took ~30 days to get a vin if you got in the same quarter you placed your order in. However, if your vin wait crossed quarters, that average more or less doubles (except in '21)

Bored data scientists get up to all kinds of mischief. Granted, I only have the data from the spreadsheet that's been posted here so its hard to know how representative it is globally but its the best we've got. I'll probably keep tinkering as a means to pass the time and will share any other interesting tidbits.

Actually I just like changing things up every couple of years. The recent gas price increases certainly steered me in the EV direction. The acceleration of the M3P narrowed things down quite a bit.
EDD went generic yesterday to July -Sept. nice update this morning to 7/15-8/12.
Applied for a loan with USAA this week and got 3.19% good till 8/10 so hoping the EDD is correct.

60 at 3.19%. 72 months would be 3.29%. Pretty good based on what I’m seeing out there.

A bit more granular info here - order to vin average waits when in different quarters by year. Q2 to Q3 crossovers look to be pretty consistently in the 60+ day range.

I filtered it down to include only performance models ordered in the US. Was thinking about breaking it down further by region but I think the categories will get to sparse for the results to be meaningful.
Pirelli stated that since I took delivery after 6/1, they will no longer cover a road hazard warranty. Tesla will happily replace it for $480
Worth a shot though what defines East v West might be tricky. Could do east cost, west coast, central or something like east == east of the Mississippi, West== all others.
