I ordered 30 May, and mine has gone back to Q4, 11/11 to 26/12 once, so my guess is that we are on the edge of Q3 / Q4 and every time they run the EDD calculations it only takes a few movements in production versus orders to tip you one way or the other. Fingers crossed we end up in Q3!

Just had a bit of a horrible thought. I'm out of the country 16 Sept to 01 Oct which now spans my EDD window (ok I realise a lot can change). And before you ask the holiday was "ordered" long before the car!
From what I have gleaned there is an 7 day window allowed after a collection date has been offered. With the infamlous end of quarter push, if I'm offered something like 27 Sep, could I ask to collect on Monday 3rd October without getting kicked to the back of the queue?
I just read on the shipping movements thread the car has to be in your possession for Tesla to be able to include it as a delivery, so it sounds like just paying isn't going to be enough.

If that’s the case and Tesla won’t let you budge, could you not arrange collection on 30th Sept and then cancel (some sort of last minute ‘emergency’) until the 2nd or 3rd. It’ll probably be too late for them to allocate it someone else (this quarter) so they may a well just give it you a few days into the new quarter rather than go through the hassle of reallocating it. Obviously you’d still run the risk of losing it and going to the back of the queue, but if that’s what Tesla would do if you can’t collect anyway you may have nothing to lose. Just a thought and I take no responsibility should this mess everything up. Also, if Tesla are reading this, this isn’t really my idea or something I condone

Somebody else will pick up my Tesla on my behalf. What should they bring?
They should bring a power of attorney letter and copy of your passport or identification card to the delivery appointment. If you are financing your Tesla via a Tesla leasing or lending, the person listed on the agreement has to be present at the point of delivery.
They are very strict with their 7 day collection from the first date offered. If you can’t collect then they will allocate it to someone else, risking your position in the queue.
If you can arrange for someone else to pick it up then that would be the best option one you have a date.
I would suspect if your delivery is anywhere close to end of quarter then they will want you to collect on or before the 30th come what may, regardless of any 7 day collection window (if that's enshrined in the contract then you might be ok, but they'll probably grumble)

My boss at work ordered his M3P a couple of days after me, (so probably 9th/10th July) and has been in touch to say his EDD has moved forward to Sept 24-29.

Yeah - ordered early June and been on 25-30th Sept for a while now (apart from a few days where it went back to Nov-Dec). However, I in no way expect this to be achieved and am fully expecting an end of Nov - Dec actual delivery. So if they do achieve the Sept one I’ll be delighted. Do you and your boss have the same spec and colour?

He's gone for Grey/White. I've gone for White/White. I did think he may get moved back again (the old EDD hokey-cokey) but we'll see. He's gonna check source code for VIN today.
Mine has been at 23-30 Sept for several weeks now (MSM / Black / AP, ordered 30/05 ). On the basis that our late Sept EDD ranges (say 20-30/09) in any way represent reality then this would indicate a ship arriving about 18/09. So with an average time at sea of 25 days, this would mean that a departure date of 24/08. If VIN allocation doesn' start until 3 days into the voyage, then there won't be any until 27/08, which is a Saturday, so I wouldn't expect them to start coming through until Bank Holiday Monday 27/08 (which is just a normal day in the US, so shouldn't make a difference, based on Tesla telling me that allocations aren't made in the UK???). Of course all my ruminations presume EDD's mean something!!!
