Just got 42.3. Most notable change is my estimated range has updated from 301 to 313. Perhaps this firmware changes how range is calculated, or maybe my car is a fluke.

I received 42.2 on Monday night. I have an issue with the web browser that I haven't seen mentioned elsewhere. The touchscreen input areas seem to be off. For example, if I try to hit the back button it reads that as the 'X' and closes the browser. I hope it's a bug and not an issue with my touchscreen, but I haven't noticed problems anywhere else in the UI.
I think I have the same issue with the browser. I did a bug report, though I wasn't sure exactly what was wrong.

You are right. I'm close to 2,000 miles on the odometer. My projected 100% charge has been in the 298~302 range since new. After the 42.3 update the projected range is 309. FYI, I'm using Stats.

So I've noticed, ever since I've gotten by Model 3, I've gotten 4 software updates. ALL 4 of those updates came on a Thursday night, including tonight. That's just way too coincidental. I have a hunch once your VIN does its first update after delivery, all future "normally" pushed updates occurs on that day. So... Today, I went from 2018.40.1 to 2018.42.3.

Humm you might be onto something. Below are my three most recent updates all on Thursdays.

10/11 - 2018.39.7
10/25 - 2018.40.1
11/01 - 2018.42.3

Interestingly enough, it seems the 2018.40.1 to 2018.42.3 "package" was only 681MB instead of people reporting it to be a bit over 700MB. Also, it seems to have come across in two different "URL" chunks over va.teslamotors.com in unencrypted HTTP.

Red box is what I saw come across when it was downloading the software update. The blue box is every single time after I come home from commuting and the Model 3 connects to WiFi, it uploads a lot of data to Tesla HQ. This started as soon as 2018.40.1 was loaded onto my vehicle so I'm assuming 2018.40.1 has some type of "shadow mode" installed. The purple box, happened yesterday (day before I was upgraded to 2018.42.3). Not sure why there were two separate 25MB downloads, for no obvious reason I could find.
