For my next s delivery I think I'll schedule at factory ....and drive to Florida. I can't bear thinking of a 30 day train ride. Almost worse than my 3 year wait for my first s.

I finally got a pickup date from my DS for my 85D being delivered to the Cleveland (Mayfield) store. I ordered back on 7/10, and I am picking up on 9/8!
Congrats to everyone who has taken delivery recently.
I am from SoCal, I ordered my 90D on 7/10, confirmed on 7/17 and went into production on 8/7... Still in production as of 8/29 with no estimated time of delivery per my DS (he hopes production ends first week of September). Apparently car has been in some final testing phase for weeks. Been having to rent a car one week and bum a car from family another week since I sold my car mid august when I was told 8/17 was the absolute latest I would take delivery. All payments and documents were completed by 8/1 on my end.
I am pretty disappointed as my excitement has pretty much all gone and been replaced with frustration. (especially when I see others who ordered much later than me have taken delivery already). Hopefully once I am actually behind the wheel it will be worth it. I am as easy going as they come but I definitely expected a lot more from Tesla. Crossing my fingers for good news next week.

By that rationale, can I take delivery in a state with no sales tax at all like Oregon?
Well, I live in 'sales tax free' Delaware: Delivery here: Free of tax.......but to register the car: a DMV fee equal to about 4% of car value IIRC:biggrin:
Delivery estimate changed to Sept. 1 - Sept. 15 while in production.
Today, delivery request was changed from Rocklin, CA Service Center to my home in Reno, NV.
At 11:24 AM: "Production Complete: Your Model S is in transit from the factory."
At 11:32 AM (I just happened to check again): "Production Complete: Your Model S is being prepared for pickup or delivery. ... We will do our best to accommodate your desired delivery time frame. Your Delivery Experience Specialist will provide you with an update on your likely delivery date as information becomes available."
My desired delivery time: ASAP!

So based on brec info, production takes about a week? Can't imagine transport time to Delaware. Checking by the hour!
