Congrats! Did your Tesla Rep provide you with your VIN? If so, what are the last three digits of your VIN?

Thanks! And DOH! VIN ends in 116??! a difference of 64.
Wow! That is a bigger jump than I thought. I wonder if we are getting into an area with a mix of both Special Sigs and Sigs? Or, if the order of getting the original paperwork played a part?

As an aside, I want to thank everyone that has been posting updates. It has been, and continues to be very welcome:)

Thank you as well. You can thank us by posting a lengthy review the evening of 9/19

Not me, that was PDWitt. I still don't have anything narrower than the two week window. 20th at the soonest, but I will be posting everything I can while the car is charging:)

I think the only acceptable answer is that you will have a passenger who is typing on a new thread here whatever it is you dictate as you are on your first drive, plus taking pictures and videos to share!

Congrats! Exactly 50 spaces between your SSL and VIN. Interesting.

Welcome to TMC by the way. Work occasionally takes me to Tulsa, so I'm definitely going to be looking for your car while I'm there!

The purpose of this thread is to:

Post a quick update of the most recent delivery data reported e.g. Last Delivery/reference link "Founders 11 June 22nd --http://www.teslamotors.com/model-s-has-arrived" . Please keep commentary to a minimum. Another option would be for TMC to post a banner on the Model S page with last delivery (why not throw in the finalize data too!)

Whatever happened to the Banner idea? That would me very handy and make it much easier to check delivery status, instead of having to make the trek all the way to the last page of this thread....

New high in scheduled delivery number:

(Is that a regular Sig? SSL go to 244 right?)

My car, Sig #252 is scheduled for delivery between October 11 and October 25. I received a call and an email from my local Delivery Experience Specialist yesterday. My original date was September, then adjusted to September/October. I am deciding where in the Chicago area to actually take delivery.

A very insightful post...again we have to wonder what the source of info is...

My car, SSL #77, VIN ending 00064, is set up for delivery on Sept 12. It is finished with assembly and is only needing final inspections, like water bath, etc. (yeah, not ultrasound. See the video) There are no parts pending. We are not Performance, not 21" tires. Not even standard paint, but we are in line in proper sequence.
The only thing holding up the line is normal ramp up, and they are working on that hard. You have seen the information on starting a night shift. And they worked through Labor Day weekend. They are not, to my knowledge, stockpiling nearly finished cars anywhere waiting for a part.
They can ramp up from 30 to 50 cars a month, to 30 to 50 cars a week, to 30-50 cars a day. Takes a little time, but several math geeks have shown that it's possible to hit 5000 cars by year's end. Especially so with starting a second shift.
And if they ramp up fast, BYT you'll get your Sig Special real soon. I agree they should send you your car in proper order, but proper order may just mean you're a month later.

Woohoo!

Got the call this evening. Delivery Window 10/3-10/17. Not surprising seeing as it's coming about as far from SF as you can get across the contiguous 48 (Bangor, ME being possibly further).

Grats man. I might come to FL for Halloween horror nights. I can borrow it right?

I did email and ask today, and I should expect late October/early November, which is on point with the numbers we've been seeing.

You should have it in time to drive up to Daytona for the TTXGP World Championship (electric motorcycle race) on Oct. 21st and, you know, take me for a spin.

Awesome! That's too bad it takes them so long to get across the US, but early October is less than a month away!

(please be batched, please be batched, please be batched...)
