And i was under the impression the 100D's could charge at 72... or am i wrong?

You being 10 min from a super charger is cheating...
The nearest one for me is 30 min away, unless i want to go inside a mall parking lot which charges you 1 dollar for the first 1 hour and like 2 dollar each additional. :\

Yes you are correct. all the way at the bottom of the spec sheet on the charging calculator shows the 90A outlet requirement. You will charge at 72A. for the 100 series cars. I dont know if I would want to fast charge on a hot summer day with house AC systems running wide open. you might trip a main breaker.

Back when I was getting the red one, I remember talking with the Tyson's manager about the lack of super chargers in relation to the DC metro area. I showed him popular routes out of town and that there was no way for me to run a 100 series to any of my destinations without having to stop overnight for a destination charge. At least tie the secondary highways to the crossing point of major highways to give us a chance to charge. We only had 95 as the long distance charging route. Within the two years they covered every single route I showed him. When they put a super charger in Painted Post NY I knew they listened. I started planning my Tesla purchase again! There is no route I can't make it with a 75 now. Just hope I don't have to wait for a model 3 to charge up first.

Confirmed Jan23rd

No Production yet

Ordered White 75D with Premium White interior and PUP.

I have to say I am very disappointed so far with Tesla and their customer service. I was expecting much better for purchasing what I consider a pretty expensive vehicle.

First I emailed my DS a few weeks back. After a few days of no response I sent another message. I then got a response from him that he was out of the office that week. (No Biggie). I let a few more weeks go by and asked for an update last week. Again Zero response for a few days. I finally sent another email and call to him and got a quick response that he was out of the office again that week. (I would sure love that job to be out weeks on end)

I was then told by him my car will enter production for sure this past Monday. (Feb 26th) I was very excited. Monday came and went and my website was not updated, still showed scheduled for production only. I figured this was simply a website lag. I sent a message to him a short while ago and got a response that "It has not entered production, but still shows to be scheduled for this week"

Now quite frankly I am getting a little tired of the lack of updates from my DS and what appears to be missing timelines on starting production on my car. I am considering cancelling my order this coming Monday if my car is not in production by then and simply shopping around for a very slightly used 2017 model from a local dealer.

I apologize for my negative first post, I have wanted a Tesla for 5 years now and saved and could finally purchase one...... and they are leaving very much to be desired in regards to customer service and meeting timelines given to me by their staff.

I envy those of you who ordered after me or 1 day or so before me and have been in production for days now.

It sounds like more of a DS issue than a Tesla one.
The timeline for you is still accurate as vehicles purchased around the time you ordered yours were estimated to be delivered at the the of march.

I ordered a week before you did and was told that my vehicle would probably get to me closer to mid-March even though the website still says it’s scheduled for production.

Have you received your VIN yet?

I received my VIN rather quickly. I think about 1 week after my order was confirmed? When I look at the timeline the vehicle has to enter production this week to meet the March target. Figuring its about 5 business days to build. Then about 5-7 days for transportation. Followed by a slight delay at the store while they prep it based on what I have read on here.

I am more or less pretty upset that I am being given bogus information from my DS.

Is your vehicle in production yet? If it is... your website still says scheduled for production?

In all Honesty by Monday if i receive an update from him that its still not in production I will cancel my order.

Welcome to the Forum.

My first posts were similar, because my first experiences with the Tesla sales team were similar.

It got a lot better.

Delivery was great, and the car is worth the time, money, and trouble.

I hope it works out the same for you.

ILzappy I'm a Plus one with DMack. I think you have a issue with your DS and possibly the store. I call my store this week and my DA is out for the week, but the person gave me all the info I needed no sweat.

Based on your dates. the car should be there within two weeks. Did you get the sunroof??? one other person in this batch got that option and fell behind the rest of us on delivery time. but in the end I think he got his delivery date same as mine. I would say your delivery date should be around the 20th of March.

Call the store and see if they will update you. My info hasn't fluctuated a single day. the web site is lagging.

Hang in there and stay with us ILzappy, we all struggle through the wait and even though there is a snapshot of hope along the trail, that quiver of excitement is quickly replaced by the anticipation of reaching the next milepost. It will all be forgiven when they call to report that they are prepping your car at the delivery center.

I would agree with DMack, it seems you drew a bad delivery Specialist and as a consequence your ride is harder than it needs to be. You have grounds to be frustrated. If it is more than you can bear you could try calling corporate to see if someone there can check your status otherwise try a local showroom to see if they can connect you to someone capable of providing an update.

Many of us have discovered that the account page isn't as up to date as we think or expect. By this point you have watched other members of this blog wade through the process so you have a reasonable idea of the timetable and your account page isn't keeping pace. Like you, I am anxious for that absent milepost and my DS hasn't updated me as per my request. My car went into production on 02/20/18, it should be out of production by now but my account page status has not changed. On the flip side there have been a few people here who have waited and waited, then one day the account page said they were in production and the next day they were out of production and then within the week they were scheduling their delivery date; so it is possible the car is ahead of the account page.

Our timelines are not that far apart. If you have all of your paperwork accomplished I would agree with you that your car is in production, but you really need someone to confirm that. Good luck and keep posting!

I really dont want to sound mean so please dont take this the wrong way but i think your letting your anxiety issues get the better of you.

For example, DMack and I live in the same state our Tesla's are being made at.
We have Confirmation dates before you even ordered your car... 1/16 and yet our car is still
"scheduled to be in production".

We got our VIN's as they say in the bay area "HELLA" late on top, which made us very sad when people who ordered cars AFTER us have there Model S being shipped to them.

When you placed your order and put your deposit down, i believe it said Late March Delivery.
So you expecting things to go faster is just anxiety.

Personally this Model S is also my wishlist car, so i know how you feel.
But i have always learned especially when it comes to orders and construction, always expect it on the last day, and every day before think of as a bonus.

Also personally id rather have my car out late, if it means they can roll out newer parts and also put more time in building, then a rushed out the door one.

So honestly you need to relax... the wait on a new car is so much better then getting a showroom or a CPO.

As i said again, you wait time isnt even close to ours, as we have a full week on you, and some guys above ordered even in December, and has been delayed to late march.

So your not the only one.

Our experiences are analogous to one another, and i've noticed that the information I get form my DS is often time a bit off form when my account page is updated.
There's nothing much we can do about the production timelines, but maybe you can escalate your particular issue with Tesla corporate or the store manager.

I agree that the account page could be updated more consistently with the actual timeline of production, but the fact that you already have your VIN is a sign that you're probably 4-5 weeks away form the time it was issued to when you'll take delivery (it took me a month to get my VIN).

The frustrating thing for me was seeing folks in the Midwest and east coast get their VIN and their vehicle entering production > leaving the factory quicker than mine, but then we all realized that those who live farther away from the factory have their car built > shipped sooner to make up for the weeks long trip to their state, whereas i'm only 15 miles or so from the Tesla factory so I would ultimately get mine sooner despite it having been built later :)

I can't tell you what to do with your hard-earned money, but i can tell you that you should not worry that your vehicle will miss the delivery date due a less-than-awesome DS and a slow-to-update account page.

There are other members in here that have contacted Tesla corporate to get a more detailed breakdown progress of their build.

Hang in there!

Given that you are confirmed, the deposit isn't refundable. Will you order another one?

LOL. I’m just going to get up there cut them with some kitchen shears. I just never think about it when i have the ladder handy with scissors! ;)
I’m afraid I’ll be stopped before long for speeding. I SWORE I wouldn’t, but........ It is difficult not to go faster than I should. It’s so hard to resist!

Hey congrats on your model s! Although my vehicle was built few days prior to yours, transportation to Toronto takes a looooooong time. As of two days ago my model s arrived to chicago via train, and then will get trucked to Toronto, currently sitting there for 2 days waiting for a full truck! I'm almost there, cannot wait, its been quite a ride! Congrats and enjoy!!!

Likely just a delay with website update. Check with your OA. He’ll flip the status for you.

Good idea. I called my OA and even though he doesn't have access to the production schedule and he couldn't give me a status report, he could offer some insight. He said that they have been pushing out cars and the DS delivery center has a very full schedule. My DS has been responsive in the past, if they have back to back deliveries I can understand the delayed response.

Given that you are confirmed, the deposit isn't refundable. Will you order another one?

I would not. I would just chalk it up to a learning experience. The main account page not being updated isn't really my frustration. I understand that that page can be delayed. I am saying I called my DS and I got multiple dates when it should have been in production and it has missed every one of those dates.

Also when I ordered to some posts above it said March delivery. 2 weeks or so after I ordered it changed to late march for those individuals who ordered later.

I do realize some have waited longer, but I also realize that if you ordered in December and live in the States your car is going to be built the same time ours is. I was advised by Tesla that only over seas orders are built in the first part of the quarter due to the massive transport time and delays. (makes sense) so they can hit their quarter numbers. So if you ordered mid Dec.... well you unfortunately will have to wait until Late Feb probably to get your car, simply due to overseas production and the time you ordered.

Long story short to your question. No I would not place another order.
