Wiki Model S Delivery Update

I called the 800 number and the lady told me the delivery guy activates it prior to delivery of the car.
Anyone knows if it could be done earlier than that. The weird thing is, the internal delivery advisor Friday said he was going to try to find out where the car was and let me know Saturday. He didn't. So I called the 800 #. As she was researching my car she goes "hum, that's strange" and then didn't tell me what was going on. It was like they did not know where the car is. So she contacted someone at San Diego, and they simply said they were busy and that CPO deliveries are done Wednesday to Saturdays. I am patiently waiting!

I was told last Wednesday they had requested the car be transferred from an "offsite location" where the CPOs are stored to the San Diego Delivery Center. Friday I got the MVPA and the Internal Delivery Advisor said he would get me an update yesterday. No word from him yet.

I’m taking the red eye to San Diego tomorrow. My delivery is scheduled for 12:30pm. Can’t wait to meet my dream car! It will be 13 days from the day I placed my deposit. These have been the longest days of my life!

Since the car doesn’t have a spare tire, any recommendations in case I get a flat tire in the middle of nowhere? Should I take a can of Fix-a-flat?

Congratulations.

There should be enough “rangers” along the highway in the unlikely event there’s any problems. That said, I’d take the fix as an insurance policy.

You will love the car, I purchased an inflator that plugs into the 12v outlet and has sealer that goes into the tire as you inflate it.

Took delivery of “Lazuli” last Wednesday as scheduled. So pleased. Excellent service in the San Diego Delivery Center. Take a look...

Hey Guys, new to the forum. I placed an order late March, received a VIN on 4/4. Would it be safe to say I will probably get the car late April?
Your chances are good, but as you have probably figured out be reading older posts here, it’s all but impossible to get a firm commitment from Tesla. I don’t even know if the delivery specialists are getting the correct, current information. If, big if, there is a slowdown in purchases I would think cars will be delivered soon.

When I ordered my S in March 2018 the deliveries went in this order for the calendar quarter: Europe first, then East Coast and finally West Coast.

In any event, the wait will be worth it.

Need your advice!!

I am thinking of getting the 13 tesla S 85 with 40k miles ,no AP but with tech pack.
.As of now, i am concerned about the battery degrade and the maintenance of the car after the 2 year warranty, since it would touch the 8 year cap soon.
Should I stay away from this and get a newer model in next 3-4 months when the price hits my range?

Out of curiosity does Tesla send auto-generated emails for production or delivery updates? From what my Delivery Specialist mentioned, my car will be in production sometime next week and then about a few days to come to the East Coast.

My 2015 S85D still charges to the full 270 miles on a 100% charge.

Took delivery of my new inventory 2018 Model S 100 D in Devon, PA . Went really well. Beautiful car, no issues, Looked brand new. Tim was awesome.

Got lucky with rear facing seats . My spec had rear facing seats which I really didn't care for, listed at 4 K. At delivery we were surprised to see the car not having rear facing seats. Very likely a mistake on part of Tesla with spec documentation. Used the money to upgrade to FSD for 3 K ( car had EAP) and will get a check back from Tesla for 1 K by mail in 6 weeks as per staff.

Happy customer:)

My CPO is a 2015 S85D with 12,004 miles when I got it 4/3/19. At 100% still gets 270 EPA rating.

With the new upgrades announced for the Model S if you have a order currently in production would you cancel and reorder? I also notice autopilot and the white interior is free while as last week it was a $1,500 option for the white interior.
