I think the white seats are on the endangered species list.. . I saw a few Plaid black/carbon fiber interiors at local SC's.

They all had protective film, no chrome.

The closest Tesla SC to me is the one in Cincinnati Ohio. My SA told me not a single Plaid has been delivered there or is on its way because Tesla is still focused on deliveries on the Westcoast lmao

Odd... yet there is at least one here in Pittsburgh and a couple in Devon.

I noticed that the battery isn't quite charged to 100% and its showing 350 miles as the estimated range. I'm wondering what the full state of charge will show as the EPA just rated the Plaid as having 348 miles of range.

Think it has been like that (at least on the front) for years. Recall my 2019 had a black front license plate bracket that quickly found the bottom of the trashcan.

Edit: someone noticed that the back bracket now potentially matches the color as well. OCD Detailing (I think was their name) had a Black Plaid that had a black license plate holder.

Good news!

Cliff notes:

1. I was told Monday am that my car was ready via email. I picked it up in the evening.
2. Some here are complaining about the wait and inconsistencies with messaging on when your call will be available. I get it. However, its worth the wait.
3. This thing is a BEAST. They have made so many improvements with the interior and I love the yoke steering wheel. It does take a few minutes to get use to though.

Long version:

1. Last Sunday, I visited one of the showrooms to ask where my orders are at (spoke to a new SA). My first order was MS Plaid white, FSD, 21 inch rims, black interior and CF – order Jan 27th. My second order was similar. The only difference was that I ordered MSM and wood interior on May 29th. I was told that I would have a firm date on the white car by the end of this week. I was also told that the grey vehicle would not be ready until at least August and at that time I should receive a date of completion.
2. Monday am, I receive an email that the MSM is available today.
3. As you can tell, the SA’s do not have immediate access to build info. I loved working with my SA and its not their fault. Fremont is starting to pump these cars out and we should see a lot more in July.
4. I am completely blown away by this car. It is absolutely worth the wait. The interior fit and feel – they have made a ton of progress. The sound system is unbelievable. The UI is much better. Tesla has made a huge improvement in the fit and finish of the vehicle.
5. I’ve driven and owned some fast, powerful vehicles. The plaid blows them out of the water hands down not only in performance, but comfort, fit and feel.

Seeing ViNs appear, people taking delivery all over the country and hearing reviews from owners as they take delivery is really helping make the wait palatable. Like others have posted, I was + and ok with the end of this year. Now with the change to Plaid I too am a little kid on Christmas Eve wondering how one night could be soooooooo long.

Everyone else taking delivery please take a few minutes and post your initial thoughts/impressions even if they are identical to others that have gone before you.

The closeup of the black car didn’t have any. I’m the other two pictures the cars had the film on the front bumper, rear bumper, snd the black trim around the windows.

I'm guessing that is just temporary for delivery and not equivalent to what you'd get aftermarket for long term protection. It would be nice if it's the latter!

Correct, just for shipping. Aftermarket PPf is never done at the dealership. And typically not white but clear.

thats correct the only place where they put PPF permanent on the refresh is on the rear in front of the rear tires.

Go for it if you think saving a few weeks of waiting is worth $10k, and you like the wood as much as the CF.
