And if you did, how's the build quality?
Do the front license plate holders come installed? Can you have it not installed? I saw some videos on removing it but would rather not have it installed if possible

They come installed from factory, not SC.

I picked up my 2022 model last week.
NO build quality issues except for a few scratches on the left fender, have a service appt next week for it. Also, all loose parts were accounted for.
FWIW, the guys who detail the car for delivery at fremont factory, have no interest in detailing cars, thats my only gripe.

I have not observed that yet. I checked for the vibrations and rattle noises and drove upto 85-90mph and nothing. I will check on it later today and keep you posted. Anything else to look for?
My preference would be, if you do this, black out the letters. Similar to how when I chrome deleted the previous model, I left the letters chrome. Personal preference.Taking my car to get wrapped and tinted today!
Thinking about this mod I found from another thread months ago where he did a partial white-out of his car: side cameras, door handles and applique. I am thinking about just the applique and trying to decide whether to keep the letters black, or white them out like he did.
(The guy who posted it is not really active on these forums, so I hope he doesn't mind me stealing his photo. )
Sent back to factory from the Field Center (Delivery Center) after inspection where they found a deficiency that needed to be fixed at the factory. Now that that deficiency has been fixed the prior inspection stands and hence a new one not needed. Purely from my imagination so don't take this to the bank.
I looked this morning and have a VIN (an NF) for my MSLR (RN1151, MSM, Black, FSD, 19" wheels) with a delivery window from 12/1 - 12/10. I haven't received an email or call from anyone yet. I've never received a call or email from anyone since I placed my order.
When I ordered, I was told it would be a Fremont delivery. No idea if that's still true. Are they taking personal checks these days at delivery? Are most people doing ACH? When do they extract the money from the bank? I can get a cashier's check from the bank, but that'll take a day or so for FedEx.
My worry (for ACH or Cashier's Check) is that the delivery doesn't happen and I'm either without the cash (ACH) or holding a cashier's check for a long while.

I am wondering if the old applique would fit the refresh. Looking at the parts catalog, the part number is identical except for the last letter. My assumption would be yes. If so, then I could easily play around, as I can find some old ones on ebay: paint the white, and have a couple of options for letters, white and black.
I stopped by the Delivery Center today to conduct a pre-delivery inspection. My SA found her right away. I think it was brought out just as I came by. Noticed the “FC KICKBACK” sign…unsure what that means but I think @DermMD is right that it didn’t pass inspection at some point. However, I know it came straight from CA, and it was supposedly born on 11/15. MF454 would put the born on date earlier than 11/15, so

She looks perfect on the inside. No seat wrinkles. Everything aligned and snapped in correctly. Slight worm…but fortunately it’s not taking Viagra so hardly noticeable. Forgot to do a visual inspection on all the glass, but didn’t notice anything.
Some cosmetic issues on outside that I think will be remedied with follow-up appointments. All door handles work well and look well-aligned. Rear passenger door is misaligned by 1/8-1/4” and rear reverse and tail lights have some strange cloudiness that may be noticed in the photos. Also the roof glass is slightly off center which will only be an issue for me if it won’t allow the Tesla roof rack to be affixed (saw some post months ago of misaligned roof glass cracking when the racks were locked down). Underbody has no scratches.
Pick up scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Was supercharging and watching youtube when it glitched out and my car did a full reset. It rebooted but everything was black. I did a manual reboot with the 2 button the yoke and it came back normally. Hopefully this never happens again. Anyone else have this happen? Anything I should do?

No call/email/text or anything. Just my daily login to account to see the VIN sitting there
I am going to be honest and say I do not think I have any photos of the chrome delete with the TESLA still left in Chrome. See if I can find something for you though.
