First post here, so bear with me.
I placed my order on June 4 and it was confirmed June 18. At what point should I receive my VIN and estimated delivery date?

Hi Jeff, it can vary quite widely, with some orders (especially international ones) getting vins within a week or two, and other people not seeing their's until it's only a couple weeks before delivery. The best thing to do is call your Delivery Specialist and ask them. That will be the best person to set your expectations as to the timing of things.

they usually contact you within a few days of your order. my initial DS contact came by email.

You should also get an e-mail from your "Owner Advisor", and they can introduce you to your DS. If you have neither of those e-mails, check your spam folder because maybe their e-mails are being filtered out. If all else fails, you can call their Customer Service number at 877-798-3752 and they'll be able to help you out.

Thanks. I imagine the Owner advisor is also not the person who helped me out with test drive/ordering? I ordered and confirmed last night, so I will give it a few days.

Thanks... yep the first morning has already started just like that!
Interesting that you have an exact delivery date already. I'm in your area and confirmed a couple weeks before you, and I still just have "first week of September" as an estimate. Hoping to get the exact date soon because I have some work-related travel I need to plan.
Good luck. You really will not know until a few days before delivery. There can be all sorts of things that can delay shipment on a truck from CA. Just know once they tell you truck is in Texas, that's when I would start to believe a more concrete date. i.e. no way you can plan business trips around it this far out.
It's not a big deal either way. The trip is flexible. I'll just save my employer some money on airfare the sooner I book it, that's all.
The September 15th date is from my DS. Website still says just "September"... I figure the estimate is likely crude with the vagaries of bringing the manufacturing site back up...

Got my VIN today! Delivery still just says "September" though.
I don't appear to have any e-mails from my Owner Advisor or Delivery Specialist (even in spam). I do have the card for the guy form the Service Center when I test drove and ordered. I'll try calling the number mentioned. Thanks.

My DS did not contact me until about 6w after order confirmation. However I have no local Tesla store, so I test drove in Cincinnati, ordered through Chicago and my DS is from Columbus, OH.

I was contacted by my DS via email 18 days after confirmation. Her signature is kind of confusing about location, with the Palo Alto, CA address (Tesla HQ), Chicago phone number (area code 312), and the number for the Austin service center (area code 510 from CA). My car went through the Columbus, OH service center.
