It's not negative... just the facts mam
Duh... I know I don't HAVE to pay... Its the fact that less than 24 hours later they ask for my money, without a delivery date!
No cashiers check. Their preferred form of payment, not mine. I am bringing my personal check because that is my preferred method of payment... and they will accept it (fact, not fiction.)
It's not a HE; it's a She... and I have not heard back in over a week... Another clue that they have lost control of the process. But why call them daily or weekly as it doesn't manufacture the vehicles any faster.
No they have not. Exactly one year ago it was accelerated. Overall they just got a whole lot worse... read what people are saying.
Lets hope it is a small delay and the output really picks up and gets to targeted production numbers which will be a good problem for Tesla to have.
After 3 months... you are right unfortunate timing for some of us.

And what would you suggest I take the time to ask for... a "76" ball, or "Jack" for the antenna (do they have one? ;-)

Hey, its just another car, albeit a 120K Kar, and it gets here when it gets here... :-0

Just wanted to let all the folks patiently waiting for their new joy that it will be longer than expected.

Wow I ordered on 7/30 and I still have a late October delivery. It moved up to October, and then it moved back down to Late October.

I had posted some of this this earlier: Ordered 8/1, confirmed 8/2. Initial delivery said late October. Then it moved out to late November. Moved back to late October, then it now shows October.

Just this morning my order number changed to show my VIN so hopefully this is a sign that the delivery will stay as is for October :)

I hope this does not impact my requested delivery in December as I purposely planned this around returning to FL and applying for the $7500 rebate in 2015.

I feel quite confident in saying this particular delay will be resolved LONG before your December delivery date, Ssssly! But, in general it's best to assume any delivery date is quite movable until the day itself actually arrives, so keep that in mind.

Spoke too soon. This morning delivery date just moved back again to LATE OCTOBER.

Those dates specifically?

Last Monday, I happened to ask about my delivery date before the delays started to happen and I was give a range of between the 19th and the 23rd. Then on Wednesday the website changed from "September" to "Late September." No actual personal communication from the DS though. But, if your delay is exactly a week and inside the range I was given, that gives me better information than I had before.
Thanks.

Good News
At 9:59 8/27 (10AM was my online scheduled pickup time) I finally got, sort of, a delivery date:
"somewhere in the 9/11-14 window"
Based on a large sample of 1 unit, it appears that deliveries have slipped 3 weeks, plus or minus a month or so...
(It was rather strange to see my delivery date just hours away knowing full well that it was not true. It would have been the only one to not have gone into production and then be delivered as a kit car ;-)

I believe this is a causality of the assembly line expansion... good news for the future but bad news in the current events category.

Tesla should support those few "Delivery specialists" with more factual & timely information... not the job of choice this month...
I had to go back to my "owner advisor" to help pry out information...

Clock's reset for a TBD delivery in September.

...its just a car
