Any particular reason for the additions (especially the parcel shelf) or just "Why not Syndrome"?

Actually they were always part of my order, I just never added them to my signature. When I put the order in, I did get caught up in the "why not syndrome". I've never bought a car anywhere near this price before but once I got going, I hit the "if I'm going to spend over 100K don't want to end up wishing I bought X for a little bit more" syndrome. A bit like doing home renovations - it creeps very quickly and now I have a 140K car give or take. I'm not sure what flexibility I have now to change but I'm reviewing the paint armor in light of the many people who have opted out and replaced with after market protection like Xpel.

That must be very exciting - but very frustrating to have to wait so long for the finished car! Congrats.

I got contacted by my delivery specialist today, asking me to select a few options for delivery date/times and forward some other information needed to complete the transaction. While I was very excited about this milestone, I was not excited about the first delivery date option he gave me: 11-Feb. So what happened to 25-Jan, which was the impression I was given by a rep I had emailed at the service center and my sales rep, independently. Needless to say, I replied very quickly with every bit of information requested (including copy of my drivers license and proof of insurance, which I got confirmed tonight with my insurance company), but I also asked why the 11-Feb date when a few days ago it was still looking like 25-Jan. I haven't heard back yet, but if I don't have an email reply by noon tomorrow, I'll give him another call (yes, of course I called him the moment I read the email!).

BTW, I realize 11-Feb makes way more sense based on all the data in the table, so that's probably going to be the right answer in the end, but I am now curious why I mysteriously had 25-Jan communicated by two people as "the date" and the first delivery window I have to choose from is almost 2.5 weeks later.

I'll keep everyone posted!

You're relatively new to the forum, MLC, so you may not know that Tesla has HUGE communication issues. One department doesn't know what the other is saying or doing. Same goes for employees; what one says may be totally different from the next, though most do make an effort to be as accurate as possible with their info.

I'm also finding delivery dates are never set in stone and are subject to change at any time. Usually they get pushed back only a few days, but it's not unheard of for them to get moved ahead either. January 25th could have been right at the time you we told, but there may have been a problem at the factory that put them behind schedule. Given the time of year, the delay might be weather-related as well. Marietta is a long way from Fremont.
