I'm wondering this as well! I confirmed on 12/8 and still don't even have a VIN let alone a delivery date. I see several others confirmed after me that now have delivery dates. I ordered a regular 85 as well.

Did you try the App? I had the VIN show up in the App before I was notified, then I called in and found that the car was almost ready to be delivered.

VIN 30528. Ordered in the Washington, DC store on December 1, 2013, confirmed the same day. VIN# assigned 1/7/14. Delivery set for 3/6/14 to Rockville, MD.

My beautiful MS85 will be Multicoat Red, 85kWh, Tech, Super HIFI Stereo, Interior Lighting, Pano Roof, Parking Sensors, Black Leather, 19" Propeller Wheels, Carbon Fiber Accents, Parcel Shelf. I'm SOOOO excited!

Well I don't feel nearly as bad now. I only have a "estimated" delivery since I actually called my sales rep and asked him. You might try the same and see what he might be able to figure out for you!

Your app will display that until you take delivery and your Delivery Specialist processes all the paperwork after you leave. There is a setting in the car that you need to turn on too.

Yeah, as far as I have seen around the forums, Jerry, they stopped doing this. So we have to wait to sync up our apps AFTER we take possession of the car :(

My order date was the same as my confirmation date but originally I asked for a delayed delivery date. I eventually moved up the delivery date to the earliest possible date which turned out to be February (now February 21). I moved up the delivery date on December 11th so in actual fact this could be shown as my confirmation date now as it might be a better indicator of the timescales.

Slight change to my entry; changed my order to a P85+ last week.

Nice!

@JJR64, your car should be done now (or Monday), based on my moderately scientific extrapolation and positive thinking. Can you please confirm?

Midlife - I'm beginning to get a bit nervous about the delivery date. I'm scheduled for this Wednesday at 7 in a suburb near Chicago, but my status still shows that the factor is making the car. I'm wondering if they plan on shipping the car next day FedEx to get it out here and cleaned up by Wednesday night! You have to figure that if it isn't shipped out today there is no way it'll get here by Wednesday - and even that has to be cutting things pretty close. Hopefully the status just isn't getting updated.

I talked to one of the service guys last week and he said that his boss mentioned the delivery would be Friday. I told him that this was the first I heard of Friday and that my dashboard said (and still does) Wednesday. He was going to look into things but I have yet to hear back from him. It's only 2 days difference, but it'll be a damn painful two days! I'm trying to stay positive and think happy thoughts.

BTW - great pics from the grand opening!

I bumped into my delivery specialist at the Marietta (Georgia) show room "grand opening" yesterday, and I jokingly asked him "where's my car?" He asked when it was scheduled for delivery, and I told him 11-Feb, and he said it should be going into Production this week. That was my estimate, too, based on rate of "start production" over VIN numbers (I have my own copy of the tracking sheet with a bunch of formulas in it to find the "start production" VIN count rate).

It's gonna happen this week...I can feel it! Just have to try to keep myself from refreshing the screen more than once per hour, so I don't drive myself crazier than I already am!

Also, knocking on wood and hoping I'm not jinxing the timeline with my post now!

Well I was just officially pushed back on delivery from this Wednesday to next Wednesday. :cursing: What really frustrates me the most on this is that I heard nothing from Tesla about the delay until I emailed them to check on the status. My dashboard was (is) still reading the car as in production and still showing a delivery date of Wednesday the 22nd. I guess that it's a good thing that didn't just show up Wednesday night expecting to pick up my car.

A couple of observations...

* The holidays here in the States seem to have taken a toll on production and deliveries. Did production stop in December? I vaguely remember mention of a "restart" somewhere in the forum. Are there large production allocations built for specific regions to get bulk shipments to Europe?
* By the reported VINs, there are a lot of soon-to-be-owners that do not participate on TMC. Is there a linkage between teslamotors.com and teslamotorsclub.com? I know I found TMC by an accidental click on a google search.

Based on their lastest report of 6900 delivered for 4th quarter I would say they didn't take any breaks... at least on the delivery side of the house. there were people getting their cars finished and delivered up through december, although I am sure that they closed the factory for the two or three days for the holidays themselves. And yes I think they get a bunch of European cars stocked up and ship them out in bulk on some level at least. Would be far too expensive otherwise.

TMC is not affiliated with Tesla however it has been stated before that Tesla is aware of these forums and do read them on occasion.

Curiousity question:

Does Tesla ship European market cars from California ports or do they truck/train them to East Coast and put them on ships there?

Our car was trucked to the east coast for an east coast delivery.

I read rumors here that they are trained to the east coast for delivery to Europe. I am saying this because it was rumored (not sure if it was ever confirmed) that the train wreck near Chicago last fall was carrying some Tesla Model S's and/or battery packs.
