I asked if it was removable and was told "no". I'd be happy to be proved wrong. I think we need to wait till @Kincaid gets his final pieces installed and see what it looks like.

While I am waiting for the final pieces of the floor for the trunk, I am busy trying to figure out what the L shaped black item is that was encased in a plastic bag and placed in the frunk along with the windshield shade at delivery. Where does it go? Anyone?

I think it's for the cell phone stand in the front center console. This is the standard product if you don't use a phone here.

It seams the vertical profile was not attached in that Norway car. Perhaps it does still attach to the cargo hooks?

It would be interesting to know if the vertical cover in @beths11 car or cars like it can be removed - snapped out of the cargo hooks for example...

No, if you look at the shape of this it is mounted just behold the back of the seats and the shape makes it impossible to be mounted so that it covers the hooks

unfortunately this is how mine looks, and it was delivered like that, I have seen some posting with the cover of the low part of the seat, but what about the different levels, there is a 3 to 4 inch gap that groceries and all small times fall

You are missing a separator. You should have gotten a due bill for it (or some such). If not, contact your OA or DS about it. Also, please read the other posts about the rear panels.

@Kincaid it is the front plate holder, but you can get one here which attaches to the front of the car without drilling any holes:
Torklift Central | The Law - Tesla Model X Front License Plate Bracket (Auto Pilot Compatible) x7340

Thank you. Everyone knew but me. Clearly that is why I was overlooked when it came to having my Model X delivered with the rear floor sections in place.
Thank you for the link to the no-drill license plate holder. I like that solution.

Maybe, not sure one can say that definitely from that pic? Anyway, in @beths11 the same (?) cover does cover the cargo strap hooks. Are you suggesting they are two different parts?

Are the things in the 5 seater floor even cargo strap hooks or do they just look like it?

Thank you for the added info, much appreciated as always. I guess there remains the possibility the techs were incorrect, but of course one would expect them to be right...

Some more questions for you - or others with a car like yours:

Is the vertical panel very rigid if you gently push it around or does it give way a little, suggesting a removable design?

I mean, if it sits on the cargo strap hooks (maybe using some clip-on buttons similar to closing a skiing helmet or the like) it might be possible to remove it by lifting... Just a theory. Of course it is possible they attached it through screws or the like...

Of course I would not ask you to test anything that might damage your car, just look and feel around a bit.... :)

Also, can you see the cargo strap hooks at all underneath the vertical panel, maybe behind it... is it sitting on them? I mean, why put cargo strap hooks there if you put a non-removable vertical panel on them...

Thanks all for any comments!

I answered your questions in the quote below.

Rather rigid. The dealership said it was removal. Pics in the 5 seater pic/vid thread.

Not that I can see

Thanks Bjoris! Excellent info.

So, definitely there are several versions of this going about. The one you showed seems superior in size or at the very least in having the cargo hooks. On the other hand, the panel itself looks a little less form-fitting on the sides?

I am not sure if @beths11 car is actually covering the cargo hooks, it may well be just missing them? It does not look like the vertical panel is that much more rearward...

One of those other kinds of Tesla moments... ;) Some of those panels/carpetings and the floor cargo strap connector workmanship looks a bit suspect too in the Norway car...

Here is a picture of a car in Norway delivered with this bar behind the seast fixed. Still hooks to see:)Obviosluy there are different versions of this. I would defently ask for a new on if I get one covering the hooks, it must also then be way to fare back from the seats stealing luggage room!

I have to say that that looks like the board over the forward section was just slipped down behind the rear seats, that it isn't actually the fixed vertical piece.

To me the most interesting thing about @Bjoris' photo is that he has a floor panel that actually fits the rear well area with no gaps for things to roll backward into that lowest area as we've seen before. You end up with a perfectly flat lower floor! The upper rear floor panel is too wide to be able to sit into the recess at the rear well storage area. In this photo, you see the seam to the right and left where the correct cover for the well area sits. I definitely want this panel for my car and will keep this photo to be able to show the delivery specialist if my car doesn't have it. I wonder when the 5-seater will get delivered consistently the same?

Bjoris, is this your car, or one you were able to see? Do you know about when it was delivered? I'm wondering if it's very recent. As I mention in the post above, I'm interested in the panel it has that actually fits and perfectly covers the rear deeper storage area, giving you a flat lower floor. I wonder if all the X's being delivered to Norway have this panel.

I think the angle of the picture is obscuring the gap and drop.
