Wiki Model X Order/Delivery Tracking - Google Sheet

Oh wow - I had no idea. I quickly emailed my SA just now (no reply from her yet anyway) to tell her I'll keep my custom-order if the new-inventory one I linked-to doesn't have the Intel MCU (as it already has 1000 miles on it - I'm guessing it's from Dec/Jan/Feb so might not have it) - the sheer performance difference between the Tegra and Intel MCUs means the extra interest pays for itself.

I know Tesla's trying to avoid the Osborn Effect - but this is definitely something I'd want to know when ordering!

(My apologies if I'm spamming this thread with updates, btw)

Just added my order to the sheet. I am really truly looking forward to my daily TMX experience! One question on the Tesla Referral Program on our account page. Are the referrals under "Friends Ordered" received or given? i.e. if I have someone listed under that column, do I receive the free supercharging or do they?

Obvious follow-on question: how do I track the other referral? i.e. if the table tracks the given referrals, how do I track my received referral?

I'm not sure how accurate the delivery information we see on our Tesla accounts are.

My order confirmation came right on time and the vin number was assigned in less than a week. About 5 weeks later my account says its in production and after two weeks it still say the same thing "In Production".
However today my DS called and gave me a firm schedule for this Monday pick up. He said the car is in transit by truck. My account still says "In production".
My DS is great. Has called and emailed me various times in the last 6 weeks so my advise is if you have not heard from you DS send him or her a nice email introducing yourself and then every 10 days to two weeks ask for a friendly update. Mine has been great!!

Any Bay Area people saw their car going into production? Sheet says production has already reached SoCal orders since past 4-5 days. My order still shows scheduled for production, and DS usually does not return my correspondences unless theres an update from their side.

Got a call from my SA (not DS) to say she's going to try to get her boss's boss to authorize an interest-rate lock for me into April because of the delays at Tesla's end - but that it could be declined and she'll be told to push me into getting an Inventory car instead.

My order, now in day 56, is still "scheduled for production in our factory" - but if this means I'll get the new MCU then that's absolutely fine with me.

How does one actually determine the production start date? Are you religiously checking the website everyday for updates? I ordered my X on January 30, was confirmed 3 days later, and notice that it says that it is in production now on the MyTesla page. Though my delivery specialist claims it's already in transit. So I'm all confused.

You bet, every day checking like mad man

Well it looks like you are good to go for the new MCU. It's pretty much confirmed you will get it if it's not in production yet.

Yes you have to monitor the page to see the status. I think back in 2016 I did get an email when it changed to "in production". This time I didn't. If you saw your car was in production just today it's likely it entered production in the last couple of days, which means it should get the new MCU.
