I have tried all the tricks (tap advanced multiple times, switch from standard to advanced, hold advanced, and a few others), but it seems that maybe these work if your VIN was already queued for install.
May have worked at one time but not any longer. It appeared Tesla addressed this last year when it was initially reported.

Well I guess I am not alone with 2020.36.4.5 or older software. It seems that patience is required since update timing is dependant on Tesla.
Thanks to those that responded.
We should be seeing the 2020.40 series popping up quite a bit over the next week. We are in the 40th week of the year and seeing the limited rollout now.
I'm waiting for the fix to the reduced charging rate problems. I have a service appointment on the 16th to get my windshield replaced so I'll see if I also end up with a firmware update as well.

Can you say more on the charging rate problem. I think I may have the same things going on. Mine will start charging at 48 amps, but often drops to 24, and occasionally 12.
I had two updates for the car so far. One as soon as I got home and connected to wifi and the second about a week after that. Sitting at 36.12 right now.
i just picked up my MY last Wednesday. It’s been connected to my WiFi when it’s in my driveway. There have been no Software updates. Sitting on 36.12 in NJ. Anyone know how the rollout works? How to get it? I have the software update set to Advanced which allegedly pushes out software quicker.
Usually when there is a slow rollout of an update, Tesla is ensuring there is no issues with what has been recently released. So, maybe sitting on 36 is ok for now.
