Has anyone from South Wales had a delivery date yet? I'm still waiting for even an initial date range text, and holding out on the lease company's assurance that I'll get it in March...
Yes, 2 March from Bristol collection centre. Ordered M3 via Knowles on 10 Oct, changed to MY LR 19" Blue / Black 16 November. Didn't hear a peep, then a text last week saying vehicle on its way, text last Friday offering date. Accepted, then this week had reg no and VIN etc.

About time I posted here I think, I’ve been following the thread for a while!

I ordered and got an RN on 2nd Feb and passed the RN to ALD to organise a lease through my limited company. They very quickly submitted the order to Tesla it seems and I soon got an SMS with a *different* RN number submitted under my work email address 😵‍💫.

I called Tesla and apparently they can merge the 2 RNs somehow, which will close down the original RN on delivery and refund me the £100 deposit - however I can still see the original RN number under my personal account.

I opened the Tesla app this morning which is logged into the original RN number and it asked for Bluetooth permissions which it has never done before, so I checked the online account and it now says 15th-29th march for delivery.

So I’m hoping that this is actually representing the lease car somehow because obviously I can’t see the RN details from the lease account.

Anyone else had this experience?

In Southampton and look what I found…. (pictures hard to take due to very close wire fencing). Looks like the partially covered terminal will help with the rain for collections. 😁

That is a very good point. I did that research before buying mine. That vibration/scuffing was there in the early versions of the M3 aero covers. Then they introduced the tape (which I think was done by someone and eventually Rimetrix themselves started supplying that) and the MY cover are snug.
It's worth pointing out that there are other threads on here highlighting the possibility that the stock Tesla aero covers also create damage on the Gemini alloys. Worth keeping a check on if you plan to keep the aero covers in place. It creates a real dilemma. Do you keep the aero covers on in part to protect the alloys from kerb rash (but with the risk of they themselves damaging the wheel) or do you take them off?

I think in the long run it doesn’t really matter. The cost of repairing these wheels is pretty cheap - like a couple of hundred quid to refurbish all 4.

You can also get alloy wheel insurance for next to nothing that usually entitle you to a couple of repairs a year. Not a bad option if you want peace of mind, but personally I’m happy just to let them take the wear and tear and referb after a couple of years. I’m sure we’ll all be trading in for our model x plaid by then :)

That is my config as well. I am at 8:30! At the first sight I thought the white one in the front is mine later realised there was just 1 letter different to mine! Also that one is on 20"
Can you look for my number plate, TKY should be one of the first whites with Geminis on as I am picking up at 08:00 tomorrow?
It was a flying visit but I guess that the first collections tomorrow will be those cars under that canopy. Is 8am the first collection?

I ordered 19" as most journalists recommended. I opted for the enhanced auto pilot but now worried I made the wrong choice but dont want to delay order as I have a March delivery scheduled (not confirmed though)
If you just want to delete the EAP option this shouldn't delay your delivery as this functionality can be enabled/disabled remotely by Tesla and doesn't require any hardware changes.

So its best to go for original and order the 20 inches afterwards ? We are like better off by a grand ?
FYI, to help you make any decisions....

Model Y 20" inductions selling for $4,500 in the US with winter tyres (sorry tires) at the Tesla online shop = £3,300 ish +shipping +taxes.
Currently they aren't for sale in the UK Tesla shop. But if/when they are for sure they'll just swap the dollar sign for a pound sign!

20" Pirelli P Zero ~ EV tyres were quoted to me as £300ea at Quickfit yesterday. (possibly get a better deal elsewhere?)

Cheers !
