Non-owner from Canada (Day 1, in line pre-reveal ) got my invite this afternoon.

Does any one of those in CA configured on 3/22 received a VIN ?

I configured 3/20 and have a damn delivery date for this Saturday the 31st if you can believe it. What a week it has been trying to square everything up

Just first production, though once you get the invite you should defer and indicate you want the smaller battery model.

Nope. Pretty sure the window for those to start coming, is late 2018 (but keep in mind that's a Tesla Production Estimate, so, you know, just keep that in mind).

They can't continue to hold up black and keep inviting and making the black list take too long though (you would hope!).

I hope they are able to accomplish this feat, especially in this quarter.

I think there is a huge difference between saying we hit some burst rates that extrapolate to 1000 per week vs we produced 300 in each of the last few days so we expect to produce 2100 next week.

I think another important nuance is this:

"At the time of Field’s email, Tesla was making more than 200 Model 3 sedans a day on every line, he wrote"​

The bold part reads to me that the steady rate was >200/day (maybe 1500/wk?) as of last Fri 3/21 when the email was written.

I think if they can produce 300/day for a whole week this week, it should be treated as equivalent to "700 for the last 7 days in Dec", and not "the extrapolated 1000/wk" statement. As we suspect that Jan-Feb avg was ~700/wk, so I think it's safe to take the reported production total of this week as the baseline going forward.

You misunderstood. I was talking about April online reservers (other people) who said that they could configure already.
I was one of the March line waiters before the reveal...

No new invites this past week (for US day 1 folks)?? I’m getting antsy and frustrated... hopefully this is only because of end of quarter and that the rest of us Day 1 / Mar-May folks get our invites this week.
