Does flight mode toggle not work? And what firmware?
Haven't tried toggling flight mode. Firmware is 2017.50.12.
You can install our site as a web app on your iOS device by utilizing the Add to Home Screen feature in Safari. Please see this thread for more details on this.

That's exactly why the phone key is terrible, the iPhone BT range is too good. I don't want my car waking up, let alone unlocking, when I'm walking *near* my garage... only when I'm walking up to it *in* my garage.
The Model 3 has a flight mode! Where?Haven't tried toggling flight mode. Firmware is 2017.50.12.
what is this "force quit" on a mobile device? what os? where do you initiate the mobile equivalent of alt-f4 / end task ?I force quit and relaunched the app and it connected normally.
On iOS that usually means bringing up the multitasker ans swiping away the tabs. On Android you have to go into the programs/apps in settings and Force Stop an app that is running (but not open). I left my Oreo Android device at home so I am running off poor memory for that explanation.what is this "force quit" on a mobile device? what os? where do you initiate the mobile equivalent of alt-f4 / end task ?
Hmm so if i happen to have a 2nd phone (that is an iPhone) in addition to my Android, would i be able to set-up access to the car from either phone? I'm thinking of doing some testing to see how much Android sucks...
You can easily close all active apps on the Android by clicking on the button on the lower left of the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. It looks like two capital L's lying down.
It only connects to the “active” car in your tesla app. So if the S was last active in the app, it would not connect to the 3 as a key. If you had 2 3’s presumably, it will only unlock the last one that was active in the app.i don't know if this has been discussed:
if i have both tesla's in the garage, and both cars are bluetooth linked to my phone... can these phones link to 2 bluetooth devices at the same time? will my cars compete for my phone? will this cause a potential problem trying to unlock my 3 if it's connected to my S?
That sounds very similar to my experience. Turned out to be a "server" problem at the Mother Ship. When you pick up the car someone has to enter the fact that the car has been delivered. When at the delivery center, this is temporarily overridden to allow for instructions to be given to the new owner. Once you drive away Phone as a key stops working until the delivery is entered.Eventually they got the phone to work at the service center, but once at home it did not any more. I'm not a tech person, so I did not try anything to make it work again.
no sooner than I gloat, the issues arise. Inconsistent all day yesterday. If i entered my car 15 times yesterday, it only worked like three times.so far, in 4 days of interacting with my car... on 50.13, samsung S7edge. only my phone is connected
90% consistent.
once i had to do the bluetooth reset
a couple of times, it unlocked, but then once i got in the car, it wouldn't let me drive for a minute.. i had seat belt latched. it gave me the "tap keycard on cupholder" prompt. i took the phone out of my pocket, then it worked both times.
maybe 25% of the time, i have to wait 30 sec, then it unlocks.
the rest of the time, it works great.
