The Model S has quite a bit of toe change under compression, namely toe-out under compression (which is an odd choice for sure). If you spend time driving in the low settings, you'll be more likely to experience this type of wear.
For sure. You'd normally expect toe-in under compression for stability while accelerating, but for whatever reason, not in this case. Our trailing arm kit includes spacers to correct the bump steer and allow for more predictable behavior.That's odd indeed for a street car. Good for the track, though.. but this isn't a track car

What does started showing wear mean?It's not a Michelin problem. I am running Goodyear F1's in 305 and they started showing wear after a few thousand miles as well.

Any tire with camber will start to show wear on the inside. Not all tires will tear between the tread and inner sidewall with tread left. I just had my driver rear almost blow out on the highway - only 10K miles on the tire and wondering to replace them all?UPDATE.
I am pleased to report that an engineer from Michelin has been in contact, I suspect this is a result of this and other threads.
QUESTION:
Has anyone that has already had to replace a Model S tires due to tread separation kept their old tires? Mine are "getting there" but are nowhere near as bad as what has been documented in the many photographs here.
If so, please DM so that I may forward your contact info to a Michelin field engineer ASAP.
If you are one of those to soon replace your tires, PLEASE consider keeping the delaminated tire for possible inspection by Michelin.
Second, if you don't keep the old tires, please at least post photographs of your bad tires.
