I completed my order with the front plate and then was told I would be ok without it. Since Tesla is so swamped, I am doubtful they will be able to change it before they ship.
Can anyone tell me if I can remove it myself and will it look ok?
Thanks
What is the best number and who should I ask for (DS). I have only spoken to a product specialist. Very nice.
I have spoken to my product specialist twice. They received my funds Wednesday. I will try her again.
Just to make sure I have this correct...Tesla asks at pre-delivery if you want the bracket installed? I finalized a few weeks ago and sent a follow up email to the "ownership" email address letting them know I didn't want it installed, but never heard back. I'm not expecting my car until Feb/Mar, but just wanted to make sure they don't drill holes in it!
Part of the final MVPA is a form that you have to fill out and sign that says whether or not you want the front plate bracket installed. And at least for us the DS and final service center installs it, not the factory. So you should have plenty of time to clarify your intentions. There is also plenty of communication with the DS just prior to delivery. I wouldn't fret too much about it at this point.
Isn't it required in CA? what would happen if you get a ticket and get a fix order ticket? how long would that take if you don't have the front bracket?
