I feel like Tesla needs to seriously work on the backup camera nonsense. You guys have black screens, HW3 people (like me) have dreadful frame-rate/pauses. Nearly reversed into a car today because it froze/dropped frames so heavily. Ugh.
Mine has much improved with the later updates, I'm on the same version and it still happens rarely but no more than 5 seconds, and definitely not every time.
If it's consistent with every ride then I would submit a ticket. I would call the issue 'fixed' for me.

I didn’t have this problem the first two months, but it started happening 2 days ago. Update was over a week ago, so I don’t think that is it. Very odd.
It’s not fixed on 28.3. It won’t be fixed until we see it specifically called out in the release notes given how widespread the issue is and inconsistent, too.
The issue is that Tesla hasn’t acknowledged the problem so it won’t be fixed.
This is beyond rediculous. My model 3 is impossible to park. I have bad no issues like this with model s and I have one of the first ones. I drove everyday and after 40m of driving it fails to turn on camera when backing up for at least 5 s
